#PrivacyNarrativeHeatsUpMASKInFocus $MASK $ZEC $XMR $DASH
Is MASK “undervalued” at $26M or at $43M? The answer changes depending on which supply number you use. Here’s how I’d test the thesis before trusting it.
1. Two market caps, one token (my math)
At 0.4292 on my chart, 60M circulating tokens gives about $25.8M, which matches the roughly $26M being quoted. A 100M count gives about $42.9M. One thread says 40% of supply is still out of circulation, so if all of it unlocked, the circulating count would rise by about 67% (100 ÷ 60, my math). I couldn’t find an unlock schedule, and that missing detail matters more to me than any “undervalued” label.
2. The thesis, and what I couldn’t verify
The bullish case is that MASK is the highest-revenue privacy protocol, with revenue above the next ten combined, plus catalysts like a Solana launch and a ZEC unshield feature. That comes from a single source, so I treat it as a claim. Protocol revenue also isn’t the same as token value, unless fees actually flow to holders. That link is the question to ask.
3. “Catch-up” means thin liquidity
The privacy sector is valued around $33.6B, and ZEC alone is roughly $20–21B, about 59% of it (my math). At about $26M, MASK is around 0.12% of ZEC’s size, so ZEC is roughly 800x bigger (my math). A small market cap can move fast on little money, and it can also be hard to exit when the crowd leaves.
4. The leaders are levered
ZEC jumped about 11% after developers set a November date for an upgrade that cuts block times from 75 to 25 seconds. Its open interest rose 24% against a 12% price gain, which means new leveraged positions were added. XMR’s open interest is near record highs too. Leverage helps rallies and also fuels sharp reversals.
5. Chart check (levels from my screenshots)
MASK at 0.4292: 99-day at 0.4298 (+0.1%), 200-day at 0.4203 (-2.1%), 50-day at 0.4574 (+6.6%), support at 0.3939 (-8.2%), resistance at 0.5109 (+19.0%). RSI is 45.2, and the MACD histogram is -0.0032.
XMR at 627.59: 0.3% below resistance at 629.47, 14.5% above its 50-day, RSI 70.9.
ZEC at 1,278.05: 0.9% below its 50-day (1,290.15), resistance at 1,391.04 (+8.8%), RSI 52.0.
DASH at 50.92: 50-day at 56.88 (+11.7%), support at 45.20 (-11.2%), RSI 45.3.
MASK is stuck in a 2.2% band between its 99-day and 200-day averages (my math), while XMR runs hot. That’s what “lagging” looks like, but it isn’t yet a trigger.
6. What would make a catch-up credible
A daily close above 0.4574, ZEC holding its 50-day, a confirmed Solana launch date, and a published unlock schedule. Privacy assets also carry delisting and regulatory risk on some venues, which is a general risk worth remembering.
My take: the privacy theme is real, but it’s mostly one coin, ZEC, and MASK is a small side bet on it. I’d decide the supply question first, then watch 0.4574 up and 0.3939 down. I’m not treating one influencer’s thesis as research.
Not financial advice.
Do you think a $26M market cap versus a $43M one changes the story, or is the unlock schedule the real issue? And which privacy name do you trust more right now: the leader or the laggard?
