#BTC As the Fed meeting and US elections approach, with Bitcoin holding above $80,000, there is speculation about whether it can maintain this level, while Wintermute analysts said they expect a sharp breakout in the coming period. The analysts also wrote that there has recently been a shift from altcoins to Bitcoin and Ether.

Analysts at Wintermute, one of the crypto world’s leading market makers, said they expect a breakout in Bitcoin in the coming period. In its latest analysis, the company addressed a range of topics, from the shift from altcoins to Bitcoin to the Fed and the US elections, and noted that critical support for Bitcoin is at $82,500.

The analysts, who said Bitcoin has been trading in a narrow range for three weeks, said they expect the current trend to end:

“Bitcoin has been trading in a narrow range for about three weeks. We think this consolidation will not continue due to major developments such as the US elections and the Fed decision. A clear break below the $82,500 support could lead to a move into the $70,000–$74,000 range. For an upward move, Bitcoin needs to rise above $87,000.”
