Gate September Transparency Report: 62 Million Users, Expanding Markets and Strong Web3 Growth
Gate's September 2026 transparency report highlights an important development in the evolution of crypto exchanges: the industry is moving beyond digital asset trading toward a broader financial ecosystem connecting cryptocurrencies, stocks, ETFs, wealth management and Web3.
With more than 62 million registered users, support for 5,300+ digital assets and 12,800+ stocks and ETFs, and growth across several trading products, Gate continues to expand its reach and strengthen its multi-asset offering.
What makes these results interesting is not simply the size of the platform. It is the growth across different business segments, from traditional market access to on-chain trading and digital asset management.

1. More Than 62 Million Users: A Growing Global Ecosystem
Gate surpassed 62 million registered users in September 2026.
This milestone reflects the scale of its international platform and the demand for access to a wider range of financial markets.
Gate's reported product coverage includes:
5,300+ digital assets.
12,800+ stocks and ETFs.
Spot and derivatives trading.
Web3 and on-chain trading services.
Wealth management and other financial products.
A broad asset selection allows users to explore different markets without limiting their research to a single cryptocurrency.
For example, someone interested in BTC and ETH may also follow technology stocks, semiconductor companies, ETFs or tokenized securities. Each market has different drivers, risks and trading hours, making research and diversification important.
However, access to more assets does not automatically reduce risk. Digital assets can experience extreme volatility, while stocks and ETFs face their own market risks.
My view: Gate's expanding asset coverage is a major strength because it offers users more ways to explore financial markets through one ecosystem.

2. Global Trading Position: Strong Core Businesses
According to Gate's September report, the platform ranked among the global top two for spot trading and the top three for futures trading.
These rankings highlight Gate's position in two important segments of cryptocurrency markets.
Spot trading allows users to buy and sell digital assets directly.
Futures trading allows traders to take positions on future price movements, but leverage can magnify both profits and losses.
For traders, rankings are only one part of the picture. Execution quality, order-book depth, spreads, fees and market availability also matter.
Gate's continued development across spot and derivatives markets demonstrates its ambition to serve both ordinary crypto users and more active traders.
My view: Strong core trading businesses provide an important foundation for expanding into additional financial products, while maintaining liquidity and execution quality remains essential.

3. Meme Go: Trading Volume Surges 77.55%
One of September's most notable results was the growth of Gate's Web3 trading activity.
According to the reported figures, Meme Go trading volume increased 77.55% month over month.
That means volume was approximately 1.776 times the previous month's level, representing a substantial increase in activity.
The report also highlighted a 67.65% month-over-month increase in users trading promising meme coins.
These two metrics tell different stories:
The 77.55% increase measures growth in trading volume.
The 67.65% increase measures growth in the number of users trading the relevant meme-coin category.
Together, they suggest stronger participation in this segment during September.
Meme coins attract traders through community interest, viral narratives, liquidity and rapid price movements. However, these same characteristics can create substantial risks.
A token can rise sharply in a short period and then lose most of its value. High trading activity does not guarantee strong fundamentals or sustained demand.
My view: Meme Go's reported growth is a positive sign for Gate's Web3 ecosystem. The next question is whether participation can remain active across different market conditions.

4. Gate Trenches: On-Chain Trading Activity Expands
Gate Trenches recorded a 47.18% month-over-month increase in trading volume and a 105.09% increase in new users, according to the September report.
The increase in new users means the reported figure was more than double the previous month's level.
Gate Trenches enables users to access assets across more than 15 blockchain networks using USDT held in their Gate accounts. The platform also integrated the Arc blockchain during September.
These developments illustrate how exchanges are connecting centralized account infrastructure with on-chain trading opportunities.
The potential benefit is convenience: users can explore different blockchain ecosystems without managing every part of the process independently.
Nevertheless, on-chain assets can carry smart-contract risks, liquidity limitations, price manipulation and substantial volatility.
My view: Gate Trenches' reported growth is encouraging because it demonstrates expansion beyond conventional exchange order books and into broader Web3 participation.

5. Gate Swap: Another Sign of Web3 Expansion
Gate Swap recorded a reported 30.75% month-over-month increase in trading volume.
Swap services allow users to exchange supported digital assets through decentralized trading infrastructure or integrated on-chain mechanisms, depending on the product.
Growth in swap volume can indicate greater usage of Web3 trading tools, although volume alone cannot establish profitability, user retention or long-term adoption.
The important opportunity is integration: users increasingly want access to centralized trading, on-chain markets and different blockchain ecosystems without unnecessary complexity.
Gate's investment in these services strengthens its broader multi-market strategy.

6. Stocks and ETFs: Connecting Crypto With Traditional Finance
Gate's September report highlighted more than 12,800 stocks and ETFs across its expanding product offering.
Its ETF trading volume approached 20 billion USDT across 424 trading pairs.
This demonstrates the scale of reported ETF trading activity and the breadth of the available market selection.
Gate also introduced US stock options in September, initially supporting nine underlying assets. These products were reported as USDT-settled, without physical delivery, with zero platform fees and zero options commissions under the stated product terms.
Meanwhile, gStocks supported more than 70 tokenized securities with reported 1:1 backing by the underlying shares.
These developments help connect traditional financial market exposure with digital asset infrastructure.
Why does this matter?
Investors often monitor several markets simultaneously. Technology stocks may respond to earnings and AI spending, while crypto prices react to liquidity, regulations and blockchain developments. ETFs offer another way to obtain exposure to particular assets or market segments.
However, tokenized securities, stock-linked derivatives and conventional shares are not necessarily identical in ownership rights, availability or regulatory treatment. Users should read the specific product terms before trading.
My view: Gate's expansion into stocks and ETFs is a meaningful step toward a more integrated financial ecosystem.

7. Gate Simple Earn: Growth in Wealth Management
Gate's September report also highlighted growth in its wealth-management business.
Gate Simple Earn reached approximately $2.31 billion in cumulative subscriptions, representing a 42.05% month-over-month increase.
Its reported total value locked peaked at approximately $1.855 billion during September.
The 42.05% increase indicates a substantial rise in cumulative subscriptions compared with the preceding month. However, cumulative subscriptions and total value locked measure different things and should not be treated as interchangeable.
Wealth-management products can appeal to users who want to explore potential returns on supported assets instead of simply holding them idle.
Still, rewards are not equivalent to guaranteed profits. Returns, redemption conditions and asset risks depend on the particular product.
My view: Growth in Simple Earn shows why a broader exchange ecosystem can be valuable: users may have different objectives, from active trading to managing supported assets.

8. What These Numbers Mean for Gate's Future
The September figures reveal growth across several distinct areas:
Global registered users surpassed 62 million.
Digital asset coverage exceeded 5,300 assets.
Stocks and ETFs exceeded 12,800 instruments.
Meme Go volume increased 77.55%.
Meme-coin trading users increased 67.65%.
Gate Trenches volume increased 47.18%.
Gate Trenches new users increased 105.09%.
Gate Swap volume increased 30.75%.
Simple Earn cumulative subscriptions increased 42.05%.
ETF trading volume approached 20 billion USDT.
These figures are reported September metrics, not guarantees of future growth.
The strongest aspect of Gate's strategy is its diversification across multiple financial activities. Instead of relying exclusively on one market segment, Gate is expanding trading, Web3, stocks, ETFs and wealth-management services.
The challenge is to maintain service quality as the ecosystem grows. Liquidity, security, transparency, reliable execution and user experience must develop alongside product availability.
A larger platform is most valuable when users can understand the products, access the markets they need and manage risks effectively.

9. My Final View: Gate Is Building a Broader Financial Ecosystem
Gate's September transparency report highlights more than user growth. It shows continued expansion across digital assets, traditional financial markets, on-chain trading and wealth-management products.
The 62-million-user milestone demonstrates the scale of its registered community, while the reported growth in Meme Go, Gate Trenches, Gate Swap and Simple Earn shows activity across different parts of the ecosystem.
I particularly appreciate the strategy of connecting crypto with stocks, ETFs and Web3 tools. This broader approach gives users more opportunities to explore different markets within one platform.
At the same time, reported growth percentages should be evaluated alongside liquidity, retention, product risks and long-term performance. Trading volume can rise quickly, but sustained value depends on whether products continue to meet user needs.
My conclusion: Gate's September results present a strong picture of expansion and product development. Its ability to combine a broad asset selection with competitive trading services and an evolving Web3 ecosystem makes its progress worth watching.
The next milestone is not simply increasing the numbers again. It is converting that scale into lasting user trust, reliable services and sustainable growth.
