Gate’s September Report: The Real Story Behind 62 Million Users
A growing user base makes headlines, but the more important question is what a platform is doing to give those users more reasons to stay, trade and explore. Gate’s September transparency report offers several interesting signals—not just about its size, but also about where its ecosystem is heading.
62 million users, with a wider range of markets
Gate has surpassed 62 million users and reports support for more than 5,300 digital assets and over 12,800 stocks and ETFs. This combination reflects a broader approach to market access, bringing crypto and traditional financial instruments closer together within one ecosystem.
Yet having more assets available is only the starting point. The real value comes from helping users navigate those choices through reliable execution, clear information, appropriate risk controls and products that solve genuine problems.
Trading rankings tell part of the story
According to the report, Gate ranked among the global top two platforms in spot trading and among the top three in futures trading. These positions highlight the scale of its core trading operations, but rankings are not the only measure of long-term competitiveness.
Liquidity, platform reliability, transparent fees and the quality of the trading experience are what turn market activity into lasting confidence. As the community grows, delivering those fundamentals consistently becomes even more important.
Meme Go’s growth deserves a closer look
Two figures stand out from September: Meme Go trading volume increased 77.55% month over month, while the number of users trading promising meme coins rose 67.65%.
The interesting point is not simply that both numbers increased. Their simultaneous growth suggests that more users were participating in this segment while trading activity was also accelerating. That is a meaningful signal of interest in emerging meme-coin markets, although one month of growth does not establish a lasting trend.
Meme coins can offer opportunities, but they also carry substantial risks, including sharp reversals, limited liquidity and unpredictable price movements. Sustainable product growth should therefore be accompanied by clear risk information and tools that help users make informed decisions.
From trading platform to connected ecosystem
Gate’s broader direction spans digital assets, stocks and ETFs, Web3 participation and everyday payments. The long-term opportunity lies in making these services work together in ways that are genuinely useful, rather than expanding the product list simply for the sake of expansion.
A connected ecosystem can make access more convenient, but convenience alone is not enough. Security, transparency, dependable support and a consistent user experience must develop alongside the product range.
My perspective: growth creates responsibility
For me, the most important takeaway from September is the relationship between scale and trust. Passing 62 million users is a substantial milestone, and the reported growth in Meme Go activity shows where interest is building. But the next stage of progress should be judged by how well the platform serves its community—not just by how quickly its numbers increase.
I would like to see continued improvements in product reliability, clearer explanations of account restrictions and eligibility, more transparent creator-reward processes, and stronger communication with the people who contribute to Gate’s community.
These improvements matter because a platform’s reputation is built through everyday experiences as much as major announcements.
The bottom line: Gate’s September figures point to expanding market access, competitive trading activity and growing interest in on-chain products. The next challenge is to convert that momentum into long-term value through better products, transparent practices and stronger user confidence.
Growth attracts attention. Consistent delivery earns trust.
