#BitcoinTops$82K #ShareWeekly $BTC

BTC is back above $82K on Monday, but I’d like to look at how it got there before calling it strength.

1. The weekend in one paragraph
BTC dipped below $81K over the weekend (a low around $80,700), then climbed back to roughly $82,400–$82,800 by Monday. Sunday’s close was about $82,002 in one dataset, so Monday’s price is only about 0.9% beyond it (my math).

2. The rally ran on thin volume
One dataset of daily candles shows weekend turnover at about 36% of weekday levels, a median of roughly 912 BTC a day against 2,559 (my ratio). Thin liquidity makes moves look bigger than the conviction behind them. The same analysis flags $81,501 as the level where the whole weekend gain is erased. That’s a single source, so I treat it as a reference, not a rule.

3. The money flows haven’t confirmed it
Spot ETF outflows are reportedly extending into a second straight week. That’s a sharp change from late September, when billions of inflows helped BTC through $85K. BTC is also still about 35% below last year’s record above $126K. A rising price while institutional money leaves is a gap worth noticing.

4. The leverage reset
Liquidations cooled to roughly $359M from nearly $937M on October 15, a drop of about 62% (my math). Less forced selling is a healthier base, though it also means less fuel for a squeeze.

5. Chart check (levels from my screenshot)
Price is around 82,717.

Resistance at 86,334: +4.4%
50-day MA at 81,536: price is 1.4% above it
Support at 80,359: -2.9%
99-day at 73,537...
Let me fix: 99-day at 74,537: -9.9%, 200-day at 72,613: -12.2%
RSI is 51.3, back above 50. MACD is 72.2 under a signal of 422.9, with a histogram of -351, which has improved from -492 on Friday.

Momentum is improving but not confirmed, since the histogram is still negative. On paper, 4.4% up versus 2.9% down is about 1.5:1, which isn’t a standout setup.

6. What Monday has to prove
Asian tech is under pressure again (the KOSPI reportedly opened about 3% lower), and the Fed meets October 27–28, just 8 days away, with inflation at 3.7%. One report puts near-term resistance at $82.5K–$83K and support at $81.3K–$81.5K. That’s a tight box of about 2%.

My take: holding above $82K isn’t the signal. Holding above the 50-day (about 81.5K) once volume returns is. A weekend rally on a third of normal volume plus two weeks of ETF outflows says “fragile,” not “breakout.” I’m not chasing 82.7K. I’d rather see US-session volume confirm, or a daily close above 83K.

Not financial advice.

Do you trust a weekend rally, or do you wait for Monday’s US session to confirm? And is your line the 50-day at 81.5K or the 83K break?
