#GateWCTCS9GlobalTradingCompetition I have been going through the WCTC S9 guide for a few days, and my honest first reaction is that this season rewards planning more than most. The tracks, the weights and the squad rules all change how you should trade, so I wrote down how I am approaching it.

The calendar first. Registration runs until 08:00 on October 26 (UTC), and the competition runs from 08:00 on October 26 to 08:00 on November 25 (UTC). By my count that leaves about eight days to prepare and a full month of trading.

The scale is big. The prize pool goes up to 6,000,000 USDT and unlocks as more eligible traders join. The first 24 hours drew over 21,000 registrations and 2,454 squads, so teams are clearly the main attraction.

The team track is where most of the money sits. The Squad Competition has a prize pool of up to 3,200,000 USDT, and a team needs at least one leader and four members. That means five people have to agree on a plan. In my view, the team with the best coordination will beat the team with the biggest single trader.

The individual track is more open than it looks. The prize pool is up to 400,000 USDT, and you need 20,000 USDT in converted volume to enter the leaderboard. The top 300 share the main rewards, and ranks 301 to 1,000 can still receive contract experience tickets. For a solo trader, that last tier is a realistic target.

Now the part I think matters most: weights. Based on the guide, stocks and event contracts count at 200%, spot, ETFs and flash swap at 150%, and futures at 100%. Here is what that means in numbers. A trader who does 100,000 USDT in volume gets 200,000 in leaderboard value on stocks or event contracts, 150,000 on spot, and 100,000 on futures. The same activity can land very differently on the ranking.

But I would not chase weight alone. A higher weight changes your rank, not your risk, and a volatile stock or a short event round can lose money faster than it gains leaderboard points. I would rather build volume where I already have an edge and use the weighting as a bonus.

The third track is the most unusual. The BTC/USDT event contract PK has a maximum prize pool of 400,000 USDT, and it combines short-cycle market judgment, random battles and point rankings. A positive net profit in a round secures a win and earns leaderboard points. Points come from the number of wins, so consistency beats one lucky big call. It also means a trader can win by being right slightly more than half the time.

There is a warm-up too. The WCTC Warm-Up has a 50,000 USDT pool, and you need 20,000 USDT of cumulative eligible futures volume to enter. The catch is important: it needs separate registration, and warm-up volume will not count toward the main competition. I see it as practice, not a head start.

There are extra pools beyond the main tracks. The Global Trading Carnival offers 1,000,000 USDT plus a fixed bonus of 275,000 USDT for new users, team formation, priority grouping and live interaction. If you are building a team, the team-formation incentives are worth checking before you recruit.

So where do I land? My plan is a team for the main prize, with a small side allocation to the event contract PK to test my timing. If I traded solo, I would aim for the top 300 on a mix of spot and ETFs at 150%, and keep futures as a smaller portion.

The market backdrop matters as well. BTC is trading around $81,500 after a volatile week with hot inflation data and a sharp tech sell-off, and the Fed meets on October 27-28, right after the competition begins. Volatility creates volume, but it also punishes oversized positions, so I would size small in the first few days.

Before you commit, read the rules on the official event page, since weights and requirements can be updated. Pick your lane, find partners early and set a loss limit for every day.

I am team-first this season. Which lane are you in, and are you recruiting? Share your plan in the comments.

#GateWCTCS9GlobalTradingCompetition 🏆 WCTC S9 Leaderboard Guide Is Here—Choosing the Right Track Is Crucial
The competition officially begins on October 26. With three leaderboards, which one are you preparing to compete for? 🔥
👥 Team Competition: Accumulated converted trading volume, putting your team’s overall strength to the test
🏅 Individual Competition: Compete for a spot in the top 300; participants ranked 301–1000 can also receive experience ticket rewards

💡 Trading volume weighting is also key to climbing the leaderboard:
🔥 Stocks / Event Contracts: 200%
📈 Spot / ETFs / Flash Swap: 150%
