#NEARJumpsNearly10% $NEAR $SOL $AVAX $SUI

A rotation needs breadth. One coin up 10% is a headline, and ten coins moving together is a rotation. Here’s the scorecard.

1. What moved
As BTC bounced from its $80K low, several strong names jumped overnight: NEAR +9.9% to about $5.33, ZEC +8.5%, and reportedly PYTH and INJ with double-digit gains. Notice that these were names already leading, not laggards catching up.

2. NEAR’s catalysts are its own
NEAR has more than doubled in about a month. Reported drivers include the AI-token narrative, quantum-resistant signatures on accounts, a draft proposal to cut annual token issuance from 2.5% to 1.6% over two years, and a short squeeze that closed roughly $6.5M of shorts in a day last weekend. About $3.9M of inflows into a NEAR-linked ETF on Oct 14 was also reported, but I’d treat that as single-source. On Oct 10, when NEAR jumped 11%, total altcoin market cap was reportedly flat to slightly lower. So NEAR is leading, but the market hasn’t followed.

3. The breadth scorecard (my charts)
Of eight charts I’m tracking, four sit above their 50-day average (BTC, NEAR, AVAX, SUI) and four below (ETH, SOL, XRP, ZEC). Only one has an RSI above 50, which is NEAR at about 57. The rest sit between 39 and 49. That’s a bounce with a few leaders, not a tide.

4. NEAR itself: extended
Price is around 5.23.

Resistance at 5.69: +8.7%
Support at 4.45: -14.9%
50-day at 3.75: price is about 40% above it (my math); 99-day at 2.78, 200-day at 2.27
MACD histogram is slightly negative (-0.08) even after the spike

Nearest-level reward/risk is about 0.6:1 (8.7% up versus 14.9% down), which isn’t a setup I’d chase. Price is also roughly flat versus the ~$5.24 it traded at on Oct 10 (reported), so “+10% today” is a bounce inside a six-day range.

6. What would confirm a rotation

ETH and SOL retaking their 50-day averages
BTC holding 80.9K
Altcoin market cap rising with volume instead of sitting flat
More than one or two names with RSI above 50

My take: not a rotation yet. It’s a leader-led bounce while BTC stabilizes. I’m watching ETH and SOL reclaim their 50-days as the real tell. If they can’t, NEAR-type moves stay idiosyncratic.
