#BTC跌破8.2万 Trader's Briefing (Price, Indicators, Levels, Scenarios)
Bitcoin keeps dancing around the $82,000 line, and this week it dipped under it more than once. Here is my full read, with every number dated so you can judge how fresh it is.
BTC was around $82,116 as of October 15, 7:36 pm EDT, on 24-hour volume of $18.19B. That fits the ~$82,123 you're seeing now. Market cap sits near $1.65 trillion. For perspective, earlier on October 15 the price was $80,915, about $29,900 below where it stood a year ago. From the all-time high of $126,080, that's roughly 35% lower by my math.
2. What triggered the break
The spark was inflation. After the hot CPI report, Bitcoin slid under $82,000, dropped below $80,200 near midnight, and hit an intraday low of $79,694 before rebounding to $82,520. The leverage flush was heavy: about $973 million in positions were liquidated over 24 hours, and 92% were longs. Earlier in the week, similar pressure came from Treasury yields above 5.3%, oil above $100 and ETF outflows.
3. Indicator dashboard (mixed, and that matters)
- RSI: 46.49 on October 15, which is neutral. A reading from October 13, when price was higher, was 54.84, also neutral. Momentum isn't oversold, so there's no automatic bounce signal.
- MACD: -565.49 on October 15, labeled neutral. Another daily reading showed -445.81, below zero, implying bullish forces are cooling. Bias leans soft.
- ADX: 28.41, which suggests a trend with some strength is present.
- Moving averages: The 50-day EMA is $80,369, the 100-day is $76,641 and the 200-day is $75,685. The 200-day SMA is around $71,957. Price is above all of them, so the longer trend is still intact.
- Overall tally: 17 indicators bullish versus 16 bearish, a neutral sentiment.
4. Levels map
*Support:* $80,000 to $80,700, where the 24-hour low of $80,443 already tested. Below that, analysts see $78,000 to $79,500 exposed if $80,000 breaks on a sustained basis.
*Resistance:* $82,000 to $83,200, and a recovery through it would improve the structure. After that, $85,000 is the key horizontal resistance. One analyst says $87,500 must be reclaimed before $95,000 becomes possible.
5. Three scenarios
1. Bull case: Price holds above $82,000, then clears $83,200 and tests $85,000.
2. Base case: Range between $80,000 and $83,000 while traders wait for the next macro trigger.
3. Bear case: $80,000 fails, opening the door toward $78,000 to $79,500.
6. What could move it next
The big event is the Fed meeting on October 27-28. Hotter inflation data has raised rate-hike worries, and some outlets are asking whether the market can hold $80,000 into the midterms. Geopolitics also matters: Bitcoin bounced earlier this month after Trump ruled out an Iran strike before the November 3 midterms.
Bulls have the long-term averages on their side, but momentum is flat and leverage has been getting punished. I'd treat $80,000 as the line that decides the next move, and I wouldn't trust any single indicator on its own.
Just a few days ago, people were discussing 90K, and now BTC has returned to around 81K.
U.S. September CPI rose 3.7% year-on-year, while core CPI reached 2.6%, both above market expectations. Inflationary pressure has heated up again, BTC has broken below $82,000, and long liquidations have increased.
This wave of decline may test not market judgment, but trading discipline.
Some are looking for opportunities during the pullback, some are reducing positions to manage risk, while others would rather wait for the market direction to become clearer.
The key question now is: Can 81K hold, or will 80K be tested next?
