While XRP has seen significant developments on the institutional front, its price has followed a more cautious trend. Despite approximately $1.8 billion in net inflows into XRP exchange-traded products (ETPs) over the past 13 weeks, the token’s price currently sits at $1.39—a decline of over 8% in the last week alone. This divergence raises a fundamental question that is now at the forefront of investors' minds.

The developments on the institutional side are noteworthy. Evernode—a company holding 473 million XRP and $300 million in cash—has begun trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol XRPN. This move creates a channel for institutional investors to gain exposure to XRP without needing to purchase the token directly. Meanwhile, XRP ETPs saw $11.31 million in net inflows over the past week—more than double the $4.74 million recorded the previous week. At a time when Bitcoin and Ethereum ETPs are experiencing outflows, this demand for XRP signals that institutional interest remains robust.

On the network side, there have been advancements that strengthen the XRP Ledger (XRPL) infrastructure. Ripple has partnered with Privy—a subsidiary of Stripe—to integrate embedded wallets and payment capabilities for AI agents into the XRPL. It is reported that payments initiated by AI agents on the XRPL have reached a total of approximately 13 million, accounting for roughly 25% of all activity on the network. This positions the XRPL not merely as a payment network, but as an infrastructure for automated and programmable financial transactions.

Regarding the token supply, there has been a development that warrants attention. Ripple has released 1 billion XRP from its escrow account. Following this transaction, approximately 31.85 billion XRP reportedly remain in the escrow account. Additionally, the XRPL "Batch V1.1" update was scheduled for launch on October 9; this update aims to enhance network efficiency by enabling multiple transactions to be processed as a single batch.

Regarding the price, a cautious approach is warranted. According to technical indicators, XRP has not yet completed its current formation, as it has failed to break above the $1.6572 level. In the futures market, open interest has recovered from its lows—reaching $516.6 million—though this remains significantly below the levels seen earlier in the year. Payment volume on the XRP Ledger surged by 153.9% over the last 24 hours, reaching 363.3 million XRP; however, as this figure remains below the 30-day average, a single day’s recovery does not necessarily signal a shift in the overall trend.

In summary, while XRP is making tangible progress in terms of institutional adoption and network infrastructure, the price has yet to reflect these developments. Key factors to monitor moving forward include the consistency of ETF inflows, the trajectory of on-chain activity, and potential breakouts above technical resistance levels.
