🏁 Red Bull’s 2026 season has been a story of two halves.
A difficult start, with power unit gremlins and a car that struggled for consistency. Then a steady, deliberate climb back.
The turning point came mid-season, with a significant upgrade package that allowed the team to consistently fight at the front. Since the summer break, the RB22 has shown genuine pace across different circuits, and Verstappen has converted that into podiums and now two consecutive wins.
The Singapore result was the clearest confirmation. Pole, fastest lap, and a win from lights to flag. His first at Marina Bay. Hadjar’s drive from pit lane to P10 added a valuable point in the constructors’ fight.
📊 The standings reflect the progress:
• Verstappen is now fourth in the drivers’ championship, closing in on the top three.
• Red Bull sits seven points behind McLaren for third in the constructors’ battle.
Team principal Laurent Mekies has been measured about expectations. He sees Mercedes as the benchmark and targets podiums rather than wins for the remaining races.
That realism matters. The gap to the leaders is still significant. But the trajectory is clear, and with several races left, there is room to keep building.
