#BTCPullsBackTo81000

BTC tagged $81,000, bounced to $82,000, and the 24h drop has narrowed to about 1.5%. “Bulls and bears are battling” is true but useless, so here is what the daily chart actually says.

1. Why 81,000 matters
It’s not just a round number. On my daily chart it sits right on the 50-day MA (~80,950) and just under the 81,868 support line I’ve marked. That’s a confluence zone, which is why the bounce happened where it did.

2. The distance map (from ~82,000)

Up to 86,589 resistance: about +5.6%
Down to the 50-day at 80,950: about -1.3%
Below that, the next structural levels on my chart are the 99-day (~73,029) and 200-day (~72,013), roughly 10% lower, with nothing marked in between

So if 80,950 holds, upside is about 4x the downside. If it breaks, there’s a real air pocket. That’s why a daily close matters more than a wick.

3. Momentum is neutral, not strong
RSI is around 52, and MACD is below its signal line with a negative histogram. Momentum has faded, but it hasn’t broken. This is a pause, not a verdict.

4. The bigger picture
BTC rallied from about $59,500 in late June to about $87,400 in September, roughly +47%. US spot ETFs flipped from outflows in Q2 to inflows of over $6B in Q3. Two cautions: one analytics breakdown showed daily ETF inflows fading from about $1B to about $135M within a single week in late September, and one report puts the average ETF holder’s breakeven near $86,000. If that’s right, BTC is back below it, and 86k becomes a zone where some holders may want out at breakeven. I treat that as a hypothesis, not a fact.

5. What could move it
The Fed meeting on Oct 27-28 is the main scheduled catalyst. Oil near $108 keeps inflation worries alive. And there’s a cluster of potential liquidations stacked above 87,300, which is the fuel for a squeeze if price gets there.

My take: I’m treating 80,950 as the line. Daily close above it plus a reclaim of ~83,000 keeps 86,589 in play. A daily close below it shifts my focus to the 73,000 area. Until one of those happens, I’m not chasing in either direction.

Not financial advice.

Where’s your line in the sand: 81,000, 80,000 or the 73,000 area? And are you waiting for a reclaim of 83k before you buy?
