The most striking shift is in ETF flows. XRP spot funds attracted $121.4 million in net inflows during September. So far in October, they have drawn just $4 million, a slowdown of roughly 97%. Five XRP spot ETFs now hold about 1.13 billion XRP, worth approximately $1.7 billion, but the pace of new money entering those vehicles has cooled sharply. That does not mean investors are exiting. October's cumulative flows remain positive. What it does mean is that the ETF channel is no longer providing the same level of buying pressure it did a few weeks ago. At the current pace, monthly inflows would land near $17 million, well below September's total.
On-chain data adds another dimension. XRP inflows to exchanges have accelerated over the past two weeks, reaching their highest level since July 2026. The earlier increase in deposits coincided with a decline from roughly $1.14 to $1.00. That pattern does not confirm that sales are happening, but it does suggest that holders are moving assets to venues where they can be traded. In derivatives markets, the imbalance is even more pronounced. XRP's 24-hour futures turnover reached $3.97 billion, nearly five times the spot turnover of $815.6 million, with open interest at $3.35 billion. When futures activity dominates spot trading, short-term price moves are more often driven by positioning and leverage than by changes in underlying demand.
Ripple's corporate and network-level developments have been more constructive. Evernode, a company holding 473 million XRP and $300 million in cash, completed its merger with Armada Acquisition Corp II and is expected to list on the Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN. A company with XRP as its core treasury asset entering U.S. public markets could make it easier for institutional investors to gain exposure to the token without buying it directly. Grayscale also adjusted the structure of its XRP trust, adding a second custodian and introducing physical XRP creations and redemptions instead of cash-only transactions. Ripple President Monica Long disclosed that real-world asset tokenization on the XRP Ledger has grown to $2.5 billion, and upgrades to support batch transactions and permission delegation are scheduled for October. The XRP Seoul event on October 3 brought together executives from Ripple and major Korean financial institutions, including Woori Bank and Kakao Bank, to discuss tokenization and crypto payments.
The technical picture is a market testing a well-defined level. Analysts have identified $1.37 as the key line for XRP to maintain its bullish structure, a level that overlaps with the 200-day exponential moving average. The immediate support zone sits between $1.35 and $1.45, with resistance near $1.50 to $1.55. A breakout above that band, confirmed by volume, could open the way toward $1.62. The RSI is approaching 40, which suggests sellers have the near-term advantage but also leaves room before the market becomes oversold. The 24-hour range of $1.32 to $1.41 shows the token is consolidating near the lower end of its recent band.
The net read is that XRP is caught between two forces. On one side, the ETF flows that supported the September rally have slowed dramatically, and exchange deposits suggest some holders are positioning for the possibility of further downside. On the other, the institutional infrastructure around XRP is expanding through public listings, custody upgrades, and network improvements. The $1.37 support level is the variable that matters most in the near term. If it holds, the pullback remains contained and the medium-term structure stays intact. If it breaks, the next area of support sits lower. The ETF flow data and the exchange balance changes over the coming weeks will show whether the slowdown in demand is temporary or whether it marks a more sustained shift.
