Bitcoin ETFs See $90M Outflow as BTC Remains 32% Below ATH

Bitcoin is facing renewed selling pressure from institutional flows, with U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recording their first net outflow after two consecutive sessions of inflows.

$89.9M Leaves Bitcoin ETFs

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $89.9 million in net outflows on Monday, reversing the roughly $293 million of inflows seen across the previous two October trading sessions.

Total ETF trading volume during the period reached approximately $2.18 billion, highlighting continued institutional activity despite the recent price weakness.

BTC Still Far From Its Record High

Bitcoin was trading around $85,559, leaving the asset roughly 32% below its previous all-time high near $126,000.

The timing is notable as the market approaches the anniversary of that record high, making the current price gap an important psychological reference for traders.

Despite the recent weakness, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have accumulated approximately $57.7 billion in cumulative net inflows, although that figure is down from around $61.3 billion previously.

Ethereum ETFs Extend Losing Streak

The weakness is not limited to Bitcoin.

U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs registered approximately $51 million in net outflows on Monday, extending their negative streak to five consecutive trading sessions.

During that period, Ethereum ETFs lost roughly $206 million, while cumulative net inflows remain around $13.8 billion.

Altcoin ETF Flows Remain Mixed

Altcoin ETFs delivered a mixed picture.

Solana ETFs: $9.3M net outflow
Zcash ETFs: $3.6M net outflow
XRP ETFs: No net flow on Monday, following $3.3M of outflows on Friday

This suggests that institutional appetite across crypto assets remains selective rather than broadly bullish.

Market Takeaway

The latest ETF data shows that institutional demand has cooled after a brief recovery in early October. Bitcoin holding around the mid-$85,000 area while remaining more than 30% below its previous record keeps the market at a critical point.

For bulls, renewed ETF inflows could provide an important catalyst for recovery. For bears, continued outflows combined with weak price action could increase pressure on BTC and the broader crypto market.

The next few ETF sessions will be important to determine whether Monday’s outflow was simply a temporary pause or the beginning of a more sustained shift in institutional positioning.#BTCBreaksThrough$86,000 #BitmineAddsMoreETH,HoldingsTop6.01M
