#ETHEarningsUpTo5%BonusAPR $ETH

ETH Earn Bonus: 3% APR on a 7-Day Lock Is About 0.06%, So the Chart Matters More

Let me start with the arithmetic, because APR headlines hide the time factor. The event pays a 3% bonus APR on the 7-day fixed term with at least 0.3 ETH net deposit, and the combined headline goes up to 5%. Seven days at 3% works out to about 0.058%. On 0.3 ETH, worth roughly $814 at 2,714.48, that is about $0.47 for the week. On 3 ETH it is about $4.69, plus the 10 USDT futures trial bonus for the first 1,000 users. Even at the full 5% headline, a week earns about 0.096%.

Now compare that with what ETH itself did. Since September 23 it has traded between roughly 2,628 and 2,748, a swing of about 4.6%, while ending the week roughly flat. The yield is a rounding error next to the price range, and a fixed term means your ETH sits through whatever the chart decides. So the deposit decision is really a chart decision.

On the hourly, ETH is at 2,714.48 with RSI at 54.20. The 50, 99 and 200 averages are stacked at 2,694.77, 2,688.24 and 2,687.84, which means price is only 0.7% to 1.0% above a completely flat cluster. The ceiling is the interesting part. ETH has now been rejected at 2,743 to 2,748 three times: September 25, September 29, and today, where the candle opened at 2,742.91 and is already down 1.03%. Support sits at 2,676.07, and the daily floor of this range is near 2,635.

The bigger picture is less comfortable. ETH is up about 11% on the month from 2,417.74, but down 38% on the year from 4,348.55 and down roughly 40% over three months, still about 45% below the 4,946.05 all-time high. The near-term catalyst is the Glamsterdam testnet fork, currently pencilled for October 6, though the mainnet timeline has already slipped into Q4 and that is capping sentiment. Citigroup raising its 12-month targets for both BTC and ETH helps the tone, but it does not change the chart.

My bias is constructive while hourly closes hold above 2,676.07. I want to buy the 2,690 to 2,695 average cluster, not a wick into 2,743. Invalidation is an hourly close under 2,676.07, and a daily close under 2,635 would end the range. First target is 2,731.69. Only a daily close above 2,743 opens 2,787 to 2,805.

When you lock ETH for a week, is the bonus APR the reason you deposit, or just a small extra on a position you already wanted to hold?
