#ETH理财享5%加息年化 7 Days, 5% Bonus APR, and the Real Value of Idle ETH

Gate’s limited-time ETH Earn campaign is less about chasing a headline APY and more about putting idle ETH to work during a defined 7-day window. After registration, users who make a net deposit of at least 0.3 ETH and subscribe the deposited ETH to the 7-day fixed-term product can receive an additional 5% APR bonus, paid in USDT. The campaign runs from September 29 to October 7, 2026, with a total 100,000 USDT bonus pool distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

At the current market price around $2,686, 0.3 ETH represents roughly $806, while 1 ETH is about $2,686 and 3 ETH about $8,058. The important calculation is that the 5% is an annualized bonus, not 5% earned in seven days. On a simple 7-day basis, the additional 5% APR corresponds to approximately 0.0959 USDT per $1,000 of eligible ETH per day, or about $0.96 per $1,000 over seven days. That puts the approximate bonus at $2.30 for 0.3 ETH, $7.19 for 1 ETH and $21.55 for 3 ETH, before considering the product’s base yield and assuming the full seven-day period qualifies.

That calculation changes how I look at the promotion. ETH itself can easily move by several percent over a week, meaning the potential price movement of the underlying asset is much larger than the incremental seven-day bonus. ETH is currently around $2,686, with the latest daily range near $2,657–$2,739. Daily technical data also shows RSI around 62, while ATR is roughly 3.1%, highlighting that normal ETH volatility can materially outweigh a short-term yield bonus.

The technical structure is therefore part of the Earn decision. ETH remains above its major medium-term trend averages, while $2,740–$2,750 is an important nearby resistance area from the recent highs. On the downside, $2,650–$2,660 is the first short-term zone I would monitor, followed by the broader $2,580–$2,600 area if selling pressure expands. RSI is positive but no longer deeply oversold, while MACD is not giving an aggressive momentum confirmation yet.

This is why I would separate ETH into two categories rather than treating the entire balance the same way. ETH needed for an active trade, breakout attempt or near-term liquidity stays liquid. ETH that I already planned to hold and do not expect to trade for seven days is the portion that fits the Earn logic. The promotion itself does not remove ETH price risk; it simply adds a small USDT return to ETH that would otherwise remain idle.

There is also a useful second threshold: a 3 ETH net deposit can qualify for an additional 10 USDT futures trial fund, limited to the first 1,000 eligible users. That incentive should be treated separately from the 5% APR calculation rather than being mixed into the yield figure. The core Earn reward is still determined by the eligible net-deposit amount, while the 10 USDT incentive is an additional promotional benefit.

The biggest detail to watch is the definition of net deposit. Gate states that the eligible amount is based on deposits minus withdrawals during the campaign, and the 5% bonus applies to the eligible deposited ETH subscribed to the 7-day fixed-term product. If 1.5 ETH is deposited but part of the eligible balance is withdrawn during the campaign, the qualifying amount can fall accordingly. Early redemption can also result in the loss of accrued interest, so the seven-day liquidity requirement matters.

My framework for this campaign is therefore simple: don’t move trading ETH into Earn just because 5% sounds attractive. First identify the amount that genuinely has no trading requirement for the next seven days, calculate the incremental USDT reward, and compare that reward with the volatility and opportunity cost of ETH during the same period. If ETH approaches the $2,740–$2,750 resistance zone with expanding volume, keeping some capital liquid can matter more than maximizing the Earn allocation. If ETH remains range-bound and the ETH is genuinely idle, the seven-day yield becomes more relevant.

The real value of this campaign is not the headline “5%.” It is the ability to create a clear separation between productive idle capital and active trading capital. For me, the data to monitor through the campaign is ETH price, seven-day performance, volume, $2,740–$2,750 resistance, $2,650–$2,660 support, RSI/MACD trend confirmation and the remaining bonus-pool availability. That turns the promotion from a simple yield advertisement into a measurable 7-day ETH capital-allocation strategy. @Gate_Square
