‌#ETH理财享5%加息年化 Hold ETH or Put Idle ETH to Work?
ETH is trading around $2,723 right now, so for me this campaign is not simply about chasing an extra yield. The real question is: which ETH do I actually need liquid, and which ETH is sitting idle?

Gate’s current offer gives eligible users an additional 5% APR when they make a net deposit of at least 0.3 ETH and subscribe that deposited ETH to a 7-day fixed-term product. The additional bonus is paid in USDT, with a total bonus pool of 100,000 USDT distributed on a first-come, first-served basis from September 29 to October 7.

There is also a larger-deposit incentive: users making a net deposit of at least 3 ETH can qualify for 10 USDT futures trial funds, limited to the first 1,000 eligible users.

But the interesting part is the allocation decision.

At $2,723 per ETH, a 0.3 ETH deposit represents roughly $817 of ETH exposure. If the additional 5% APR were applied for a full year, that rate would be equivalent to roughly $40.85 annualized on $817, but this is only a 7-day product, so the actual campaign bonus should be calculated from the product terms and displayed reward rather than treating 5% as a seven-day return.

That distinction matters.

ETH recently traded as high as roughly $2,748–$2,805 across recent sessions before pulling back toward the $2,700 area. Recent market data also shows ETH holding near the $2,670–$2,700 zone, while the September 29 session reached about $2,748 before closing lower.

So $2,700 is the level I’m watching most closely.

If ETH reclaims $2,750 with strong volume, the market could start testing the recent $2,800 area again. A clean breakout above that zone would make liquidity more valuable to me because I may want ETH available for a fast entry.

On the other hand, if ETH remains trapped between roughly $2,650 and $2,750, the opportunity cost of keeping unused ETH completely idle becomes more noticeable. That is where a 7-day fixed-term product can become part of my allocation strategy rather than simply being a promotional yield.

My approach is to divide ETH into two buckets:

Trading ETH: capital reserved for active entries, breakout trades and sudden market opportunities.

Idle ETH: ETH I don't expect to use during the next seven days. This is the portion I would consider for the fixed-term product.

I would not move trading capital into Earn simply because the APR looks attractive.

My confirmation signals are $2,700 support, $2,750 resistance, volume expansion, RSI and MACD momentum. If price breaks higher with volume, I want more liquidity. If ETH stays range-bound, idle ETH can potentially earn additional yield. If $2,650 support fails with expanding selling volume, preserving liquidity becomes more important.

For me, the real value of this campaign is therefore not “5% APR” alone.

It is the ability to make idle ETH productive without automatically committing the ETH I may need for trading.

My Gate proof would show the actual ETH amount allocated, 7-day product, displayed bonus rate, expected USDT reward and the ETH levels I’m monitoring.

That turns the campaign from a simple Earn promotion into a real capital-allocation strategy: keep the trading capital flexible, and put genuinely idle ETH to work. @Gate_Square
