#CorePCEandGDPFinalReading PCE + GDP: My Macro Trading Map for BTC, ETH & XAUT

Today’s PCE and final Q2 GDP release is one of those sessions where I don’t want to trade the headline — I want to trade the reaction.

My current levels are clear: BTC $83,157, ETH $2,673 and Gold/XAUT around $4,200. With Core PCE expected at +0.3% MoM / +3.3% YoY and headline PCE at +0.4% MoM / +3.7% YoY, the market is effectively waiting to see whether inflation is cooling enough to change the rate outlook. The final Q2 GDP reading is also being released, with the previous estimate at +1.5% annualized.

BTC — $83,157

My first BTC zone is $84,000–$85,000. I want to see BTC reclaim this area with expanding spot volume before treating the move as a real recovery.

If PCE comes softer than expected and yields start falling, my bullish confirmation would be a clean reclaim of $85,000 followed by sustained 1H strength. If BTC rejects this zone and loses $82,000, I would watch $80,000 rather than chase a long position.

For me, the signal is not simply “PCE is good for crypto.” I want price + volume + Treasury yields to confirm the move.

ETH — $2,673

ETH is sitting just below my immediate $2,700 recovery level.

A move above $2,700 followed by a hold would be the first sign that ETH is participating in the macro recovery. I would then watch whether ETH can outperform BTC on the 1H timeframe. If BTC recovers but ETH remains below $2,700, I would treat that as weaker market breadth rather than blindly following BTC higher.

Gold/XAUT — around $4,200

Gold is trading around $4,200, making the inflation-to-yields channel especially important. Gold recently faced pressure from elevated US yields and a stronger dollar, while softer inflation could reduce that pressure.

My key observation here is $4,200. If PCE is hotter and Treasury yields push higher, I would watch whether gold/XAUT loses this area. If inflation is softer and yields ease, holding above $4,200 would strengthen the case for a recovery toward the $4,300 area.

The macro equation I’m watching is simple:

PCE → Fed expectations → Treasury yields → USD → BTC / ETH / XAUT

My trading approach today is therefore confirmation-based. I don’t want to enter just because the economic number beats or misses expectations. I want to see how yields react first, then whether BTC holds or reclaims $84,000–$85,000, whether ETH takes back $2,700, and whether Gold/XAUT holds $4,200.

The strongest setup would be softer PCE + controlled GDP + falling yields + BTC reclaiming $85,000 with volume. The opposite setup would be hotter PCE + stronger growth + rising yields + BTC rejection below $85,000, where $82,000 and then $80,000 become the levels I would watch.

For my Gate Square data, I’ll record the actual Core PCE vs +3.3% forecast, headline PCE vs +3.7%, final GDP vs +1.5%, BTC $83,157, ETH $2,673, Gold/XAUT around $4,200, 1H/4H reactions, volume, BTC dominance and Treasury-yield movement.

My focus is not predicting the candle. It is waiting for the macro signal and letting price confirm the trade.
