Last day of Q3, and if I had to leave one note for myself from this quarter, it would be:

The market can give you the right direction and still teach you the wrong way to trade it.

That became clearer to me through several trades this quarter.

My best call wasn't simply getting a coin's direction right. It was becoming more selective about when I actually wanted to take risk. ETH was a good example. I entered around $2,403 with a clear target near $2,415, and the move played out. What I liked about that trade wasn't the size of the profit. It was having a defined idea before entering instead of chasing the price after it had already moved.

The trade I would go back and review most is ZEC.

The setup worked much better than expected and the position moved strongly into profit. But that is exactly where another part of trading started: managing the winner. When a trade is going well, it's surprisingly easy to stop thinking about the original plan and start thinking about how much more you could make.

That experience reminded me that entry is only one part of a trade. Position management and taking profit when the market gives you the opportunity matter just as much.

DOGE gave me another perspective. Leverage can make a small market move feel much bigger than it actually is. That means position sizing and risk control cannot be treated as something secondary. A setup can look attractive, but if the risk is wrong, the trade is still wrong for the account.

So for Q4, I don't want to simply watch more coins.

I want to watch the market more carefully.

BTC and ETH structure will remain my first reference. I'll be looking at major support and resistance, liquidity around important levels, volume behind breakouts, and whether price is actually confirming a move or just creating another short-term trap.

Macro will matter too. Interest-rate expectations, inflation, Treasury yields and major economic releases can completely change the environment a technical setup is trading in.

Q3 gave me winning trades, mistakes, missed opportunities and situations I would handle differently today.

But that's exactly why a recap matters.

The trade ends when the position closes. The lesson doesn't.

So I'm not saving one price target from Q3.

I'm saving the process:

Wait for the setup.
Define the risk.
Manage the position.
Take the profit when it makes sense.
And don't force the next trade just because the last one is over.

That's my Q3 save note.

Taking the lesson into Q4. 💾
