Gate Idle Earn Adds USD1 with Base 6.8% APR and Optional 8.16% Boost

Gate has expanded its Idle Earn product to include USD1. Eligible balances held in the Spot or Futures account can now generate yield automatically after a simple enable step. The current base rate is listed at 6.8% APR, and users who meet a futures-volume threshold can unlock a 1.2x multiplier that raises the effective rate to as high as 8.16%.

No subscription fee or lock-up period is required. Funds remain available for trading or withdrawal at any time, and rewards are calculated and credited daily.

The 6.8% base rate is composed of two parts: 1.5% paid in USD1 and 5.3% paid as a bonus in WLFI. The actual rate is dynamic and can adjust each day according to the remaining monthly reward pool and the total amount of eligible USD1 held across the platform.

Users who generate at least 150,000 USD1 in futures volume over the preceding 30 days qualify for the 1.2x boost. That higher rate applies only to eligible holdings in the Futures account and is capped at 500,000 USD1 per user. Any amount above the cap continues to earn the standard 6.8% rate. Boosted rewards are distributed in WLFI.

Because the product requires no lock-up, it suits users who want to earn on idle stablecoin balances while retaining full liquidity. Active futures traders who already meet the volume threshold gain an additional incentive to keep USD1 on the platform.

Rates and eligibility remain subject to the live product page and official calculations. As with any yield feature, the realized return depends on continued qualification and the prevailing reward-pool conditions.

Overall the addition of USD1 gives holders a flexible, usage-linked way to put idle balances to work. The combination of daily payouts, no lock-up, and an optional volume-based uplift makes the product relevant for both passive holders and active futures participants.
