NVDAUSDT Perpetual is showing a constructive recovery setup, with price holding above VWAP while short-term momentum remains positive. The latest trading data shows NVDA at $222.08, with the session change around -0.06%. Price first dropped to an intraday low of $218.03 and then recovered toward $222.08, producing roughly a 1.86% rebound from the session low. VWAP stands near $219.93, meaning price is currently around $2.15 or 0.98% above VWAP.
The broader market comparison also shows relative strength. NVDA was around +1.24% in the observed session context while SPY was around -0.13%, giving NVDA approximately 1.37 percentage points of relative outperformance. This is important because the recovery was not simply following broad-market strength.
The fundamental backdrop remains powerful. NVIDIA's latest reported fiscal Q2 2027 revenue reached $96.2 billion, up 18% sequentially and 106% year over year. Gross margin was 75%, while Data Center revenue reached approximately $89 billion. NVIDIA also guided for roughly $108 billion of revenue in the following quarter.
Another major catalyst is management's recent volume outlook. Jensen Huang said NVIDIA could sell roughly twice as many chips next year as this year as AI demand continues expanding. Importantly, chip volume and revenue are not the same metric, so doubling unit volume should not automatically be interpreted as doubling revenue.
From the technical side, $219.93 VWAP is the first major intraday reference. Holding above $219–$220 keeps the short-term recovery structure intact. The next important support is $218.03, the latest intraday low. Below that, $215–$216 becomes an important area to monitor, followed by the deeper $212–$213 zone.
On the upside, $223 is the first resistance. A sustained break above $223 could bring $225 into focus, followed by $228 and the psychological $230 level. If $230 is reclaimed with expanding volume, the market structure could shift toward a stronger continuation phase. These are technical scenarios, not guaranteed price outcomes.
Momentum indicators are currently supportive. The 30-minute and 90-minute trend readings remain upward. ADX is around 15.84 and has been rising across the latest readings. +DI is 45.83 versus -DI at 10.13, showing a substantial positive directional difference. MACD histogram is positive and expanding, which supports the current short-term momentum structure.
RSI should remain on the watchlist as price approaches $223–$230. Momentum can remain strong while RSI rises, but traders should avoid treating a bullish RSI reading alone as confirmation of unlimited upside. A better signal would be price holding above resistance after a breakout rather than simply touching it.
Volume is one of the most important missing confirmations. The full-day volume ratio is approximately 1.02, meaning activity is close to the recent average. NVDA recovered from $218.03 toward $222.08 without an unusually large volume surge. This is constructive, but a stronger move above $223–$225 would have better confirmation if volume expands materially.
Liquidity also remains relatively stable. The bid-ask spread is approximately 0.22%, close to its 20-day median. ATR(14) is around $6.49, which means NVDA has enough daily volatility to move several dollars relatively quickly.
For perpetual trading, this makes position sizing and predefined risk levels particularly important.
The AI demand story remains the central fundamental driver. NVIDIA's Q2 results showed that Data Center revenue reached roughly $89 billion, while overall quarterly revenue exceeded $96 billion. The scale of this business means changes in hyperscaler spending, AI infrastructure deployment, GPU availability and cloud capacity can directly influence expectations around NVDA.
At the same time, investors should monitor the other side of the equation: valuation expectations, AI infrastructure spending growth, supply-chain capacity, export restrictions and competition. Recent market commentary has highlighted both continued demand for GPU capacity and questions about how sustainable the current pace of AI infrastructure investment will be.
A useful additional metric is NVIDIA's latest earnings surprise: Q2 revenue of $96.22 billion compared with approximately $92.27 billion expected, while adjusted EPS was $2.22 versus roughly $2.09 expected. This provides fundamental confirmation that recent demand remained stronger than consensus expectations in that reporting period.

7-DAY TECHNICAL MAP:
Current Price: $222.08 VWAP: $219.93 Intraday Low: $218.03 ATR14: $6.49 Volume Ratio: 1.02 Bid-Ask Spread:
~0.22% ADX: 15.84 +DI: 45.83 -DI:
10.13 NVDA Relative Strength: +1.24%
SPY: -0.13% Relative Outperformance: ~1.37 percentage points
SUPPORT ZONES: $219–$220 $218.03 $215–$216 $212–$213
RESISTANCE ZONES: $223 $225 $228 $230
Potential bullish scenario: price continues holding above $219.93 VWAP and breaks $223 with improving volume. In that case, $225, $228 and $230 become the next technical areas to monitor.
Potential bearish scenario: price repeatedly rejects $223 and then loses $218 with increasing sell volume. That would weaken the recovery and could bring $215–$216 into focus. A deeper break toward $212–$213 would indicate substantially weaker short-term structure.
Example risk framework for traders: SL1 around $218, SL2 around $215.50 and SL3 around $212–$213 can be treated as scenario-based invalidation levels depending on timeframe and risk tolerance. Potential monitoring targets are TP1 $225, TP2 $228 and TP3 $230. These levels are technical references, not guaranteed results.
My overall reading: NVDA currently combines strong fundamental growth, AI infrastructure exposure, price recovery above VWAP, positive directional momentum, expanding MACD, stable liquidity and relative strength against SPY. The major confirmation to watch now is not simply price reaching $223, but whether NVDA can establish acceptance above $223–$225 with stronger volume. If that confirmation appears, the $228–$230 region becomes increasingly important. If price instead loses $218, the short-term bullish structure needs to be reassessed.
The key battle for the next several sessions is therefore clear: $218–$220 is the defensive zone, $223–$225 is the breakout zone, and $228–$230 is the next major upside test. Traders should monitor price, volume, VWAP, momentum and broader semiconductor/AI-market conditions together rather than relying on one indicator alone.
