The $1,300 threshold is back in focus for ZEC
The $1,300 level has once again become a critical threshold for the Zcash price.
Analysts report that the $1,077–$1,109 range serves as significant support for ZEC in the short term.
If the $1,020–$1,090 zone holds, the $1,539 target could remain on the agenda.
The Zcash network continues its technical transformation following the Ironwood update scheduled for July 2026.
After briefly approaching $1,300 at the beginning of the month, the Zcash price has maintained a volatile trajectory. Key highlights from technical analyses include a falling wedge breakout, an ascending channel structure, and a short-term fair value gap.
This outlook makes the $1,020–$1,109 range particularly critical in the short term, while the $1,300 and $1,539 levels are being monitored on the upside.
According to an analysis shared by *pullbacksignal* on TradingView, the $1,020–$1,090 range is viewed as the primary support and retracement zone. ZEC reacted after touching the lower band of the ascending channel and subsequently entered a period of sideways consolidation. As long as this structure remains intact, the broader technical outlook is considered constructive.
The current movement in ZEC is viewed more as a consolidation phase than a clear trend reversal. However, maintaining the channel support remains decisive for the validity of the bullish scenario.
The analysis identifies the $918 level as the primary invalidation point. Should the price drop decisively below this threshold, the channel-based bullish scenario might need to be re-evaluated. Conversely, continued buying from the lower band could support the preservation of the current structure.
The four-hour chart indicates an upward breakout from the falling wedge pattern, with candle closes occurring above the pattern's resistance level. Based on this measurement, the technical target points to the $1,300 level. This area is also significant as it marks the local peak reached during ZEC’s rally in September.
The analysis notes that support around $1,050 held firm, followed by the formation of a fair value gap between $1,077 and $1,109 on the two-hour chart. As long as the price remains above this area, buyers can be considered to hold short-term control. However, a drop below this zone could increase the risk of a deeper correction toward the $1,020–$1,090 range. Main support $1,020–$1,090 Key zone to watch during pullbacks
Short-term gap $1,077–$1,109 Test of near-term support
Invalidation level $918 Threshold where the bullish structure could weaken
Higher targets are on the table
It indicates that if the rising channel structure persists, the first major target is $1,539. A broader extension of the same structure points to $1,849. A separate weekly chart analysis compares the price geometry with Bitcoin’s historical patterns, projecting a scenario around $1,700. However, it is emphasized that such fractal comparisons carry greater uncertainty compared to clear support and resistance levels.
Network developments support the technical outlook
As a privacy-focused cryptocurrency network, Zcash utilizes zero-knowledge proof-based encryption and supports shielded transactions. The network has a maximum supply of 21 million ZEC. It was reported that the NU6.3 Ironwood update, implemented on July 28, 2026, introduced a new shielded pool aimed at enhancing security and enabling independent verification of the circulating supply. The Foundation’s 2026 strategy includes scaling Zebra, completing network upgrades, and advancing the "Z3 stack," which integrates the Zebra, Zaino, and Zallet components. However, network updates may not necessarily translate into immediate price increases in the short term.
In the current landscape, the $1,300 level stands out as the nearest strong resistance. Should this level be surpassed and maintained, the $1,539 target could come more strongly into play. On the downside, a drop below $918 is being monitored as a key threshold that could significantly weaken the bullish outlook.
