Short term: Momentum remains
PONS still accounts for approximately 66% of new token issuance and approximately 78% of new token trading volume on Robinhood Chain, retaining its leading position.
As long as token issuance and trading remain active, buyback expectations can provide support, and the price may consolidate at elevated levels or rebound once more.
Key milestone: Around September 29, Robinhood Wallet’s Gas subsidy will expire. How much real trading remains afterward will directly affect revenue and the strength of buybacks. If trading volume declines significantly, the market may quickly shift into consolidation; if it remains broadly stable, the momentum could continue into the fourth quarter.
It now looks more like a cooling-off phase
As of September 9, daily on-chain trading volume had fallen from $3.7 billion to $1.9 billion, while daily revenue had also dropped from $5.44 million to $1.42 million. This shows that funds are still present, but the most frenzied accumulation phase has passed.
There may still be repeated moves in the short term, but whether sustained momentum can be maintained will depend on trading volume after the Gas subsidy expires at the end of September.$PONS
