#FIL The move is real, but the next candle is not the trade
Fil coin has suddenly come back onto the radar, and what interests me is how fast the move happened. FIL pushed from the mid-$0.85 area to around $0.91, with a sharp intraday burst taking it to roughly $0.915. This is no longer a quiet recovery — momentum has clearly returned.

The latest data has FIL around $0.911, with roughly +12.7% over 24h and +15.4% over 7 days. 24h trading volume is about $111.85M, while market cap is around $753M. The latest reported 24h range is approximately $0.797–$0.921.

The important thing is that FIL has recovered much faster than it was moving earlier in the week. After closing around $0.759 on September 4, price climbed toward $0.845 on September 8, then pulled back toward $0.78 before today's acceleration. That makes the current move look more like a breakout attempt from a broader accumulation/recovery zone than a random one-candle pump.

There is also a real fundamental story behind the attention. Filecoin's vesting program is scheduled to end on October 15, which is expected to reduce gross issuance by roughly 75%. Filecoin itself describes the end of the remaining vesting periods as a major change in its 2026 token economics. If demand remains healthy, lower new issuance can become a meaningful medium-term supply tailwind.

The other narrative gaining traction is decentralized storage + AI infrastructure. Filecoin is increasingly being positioned as a data layer for AI workloads, while the broader storage sector has also attracted speculative capital. That helps explain why FIL can move aggressively even without a single new partnership announcement.

But this is exactly where I don't want to chase.

$0.92 is the immediate test. Today's move already reached roughly $0.915, so the market is approaching the recent high. A clean break above $0.92–$0.93, followed by a successful retest, would tell me buyers are willing to defend the breakout.

If that happens, $1.00 becomes the obvious psychological target, followed by roughly $1.05 and potentially $1.15 if the momentum expands.

On the other side, $0.88–$0.85 is the first important demand zone. Holding this area after a pullback would keep the bullish structure intact. Losing $0.85 would make me much more cautious, while a move back below $0.80 would seriously weaken the current breakout thesis.

The strategy I'd use

I prefer a breakout-retest rather than chasing the vertical candle.

My ideal setup is a confirmed move above $0.92–$0.93, followed by a pullback that holds around $0.90–$0.92. Invalidation around $0.87–$0.88 keeps the risk defined.

From a hypothetical $0.92 entry with a $0.88 stop, the risk is $0.04 per FIL. A move toward $1.05 offers roughly 3.25:1 reward/risk, while $1.15 would offer roughly 5.75:1. These are scenarios, not guaranteed targets.

I would keep risk around 1–2% of trading capital and reduce position size if the stop needs to be wider.

My verdict: cautiously bullish, but extended in the short term.

Above $0.93, I would take the breakout seriously.

Above $1.00, the recovery starts looking much stronger.

Below $0.85, I would step back and reassess.

For me, the trade is not “FIL is pumping, so buy.” The better question is whether $0.92–$0.93 can turn from resistance into support. That answer should decide the next move.
