SNDK Market Analysis: Can SanDisk Continue Its Powerful AI-Driven Rally?
SanDisk (SNDK) remains one of the most impressive semiconductor stories of 2026. At a reference price of $1,624, the stock is still trading in a powerful long-term uptrend, although the recent rally has also increased the risk of sharp pullbacks
My view is that SNDK deserves attention because its story is not based only on short-term momentum; AI infrastructure demand, NAND supply conditions and strong data-center growth are creating a meaningful fundamental backdrop.
The recent performance has been extraordinary. SanDisk has gained more than 40% over the past month and more than 500% during 2026 according to recent market reports.
The biggest driver is the growing requirement for memory and storage infrastructure as AI data centers continue expanding. SanDisk's fiscal Q4 2026 data-center revenue was reported at approximately $2.98 billion, up 103% sequentially and 1,298% year over year. That is a major change in the company's business mix and helps explain why investors are assigning a much higher valuation to SNDK.
Another important factor is the NAND supply-demand environment. Recent industry commentary indicates that demand is running ahead of supply, while SanDisk expects certain bits to remain allocated beyond 2027. If this environment continues, pricing power and revenue visibility could remain supportive. This is one reason I remain constructive on SNDK rather than viewing the move as simply a speculative rally.
Analyst sentiment is also interesting. Recent data shows a broad Buy consensus, with 20 Buy, 3 Hold and 1 Sell ratings among 24 analysts, while the average 12-month target is around $2,125. Citi has a $2,100 target, Mizuho $1,875, while Bernstein has an aggressive $3,000 target. At the same time, Wells Fargo and RBC remain more cautious around $1,550-$1,600. This disagreement tells me that traders are bullish on the fundamentals but divided over how much of the future growth is already reflected in the share price.
A particularly aggressive view came from Lynx Research, which recently placed a $2,450 target on SNDK. That target would represent a move above the previous June high near $2,354.39. I would not treat $2,450 as a guaranteed destination, but it is an important upside reference if the current AI-memory cycle remains strong.
RSI is another important part of the picture. Recent technical analysis placed daily RSI around 59, with positive MACD momentum and price above key moving averages. That is constructive because the market was showing strength without the daily RSI being deeply overheated at that reading. However, after such a huge yearly advance, traders should expect volatility. A strong stock can remain bullish while still experiencing 5%-15% pullbacks.
KEY SUPPORT LEVELS
My first support zone is $1,600-$1,620. This is the immediate area I would watch around the current price. If buyers defend this region, the bullish structure can remain intact.
The next important support is $1,540-$1,560. A move into this area could represent a healthier retracement rather than a complete trend reversal.
Major structural support is around $1,450-$1,500. Losing this zone would weaken the short-term bullish structure and could increase selling pressure.
KEY RESISTANCE LEVELS
The first resistance zone is $1,700-$1,740. A clean daily close above this area would improve the probability of another momentum leg.
Next comes $1,825-$1,850. This is an important psychological and technical area. Holding above it could open the door toward the previous major highs.
The larger resistance zone is $2,100-$2,125, close to the current average analyst target. Above that, $2,350-$2,450 becomes the major breakout region and would put SNDK back into price-discovery territory.
FORECAST
My base-case scenario is that SNDK first needs to establish support around $1,600-$1,620 before attempting another major breakout. If price reclaims $1,740 with strong volume, I would watch $1,825 first, followed by $1,950-$2,000. A sustained move through $2,100 could put $2,250-$2,450 into consideration.
In a very strong AI-memory market, a move toward $2,450 would represent roughly 51% upside from $1,624. A more aggressive long-term scenario toward $3,000 would represent roughly 85% upside, but that would require continued exceptional earnings growth, tight NAND supply and strong institutional demand.
TRADING PLAN
I would avoid chasing a large green candle simply because SNDK has already produced an enormous move. A more disciplined approach would be to watch how price behaves around $1,600-$1,620.
For aggressive traders, a confirmed rebound from support can provide an entry opportunity. For momentum traders, a confirmed breakout above $1,740 with strong volume would be more attractive than buying directly into resistance.
My risk framework would be:
SL1: $1,560 SL2: $1,500 SL3: $1,430
TP1: $1,825 TP2: $2,100 TP3: $2,450
These levels are planning references, not guarantees. Traders should adjust position size according to their own risk tolerance and should not treat any single level as certain.
WHAT ARE TRADERS THINKING?
The current market debate is basically a battle between two views. The bullish side believes AI infrastructure demand is creating a genuine memory supercycle, with NAND shortages and data-center expansion supporting SanDisk's earnings. The cautious side argues that SNDK has already risen so dramatically that expectations and valuation have become demanding.
Personally, I lean bullish but not blindly bullish. I like SNDK because the fundamental story is stronger than a simple momentum trade. The combination of AI data-center expansion, storage demand, constrained supply and improving data-center revenue gives the company a strong narrative.
However, after such an explosive run, protecting capital becomes just as important as finding upside. If SNDK holds $1,600 and eventually breaks $1,740 convincingly, I would become increasingly optimistic about $1,825, $2,100 and potentially $2,450. If $1,500 fails decisively, I would step back and wait for the chart to rebuild rather than forcing a trade.
FINAL VIEW
SNDK is one of the strongest AI-memory names on the market right now, and I believe SanDisk deserves credit for executing in an environment where storage demand is becoming increasingly important to AI infrastructure. The stock has tremendous momentum, strong fundamental catalysts and supportive analyst sentiment.
But the higher a stock climbs, the more important risk management becomes. My preferred strategy is therefore BUY THE CONFIRMATION, not chase the excitement. Above $1,740, momentum could accelerate toward $1,825 and $2,100. Above $2,100, the market could begin focusing seriously on $2,350-$2,450.
For me, the most important number remains $1,600. Holding it keeps the bullish structure alive; losing $1,500 would significantly weaken it. The next major opportunity could come from either a controlled pullback into support or a confirmed breakout with strong volume.
SNDK has already shown extraordinary strength. The next question is whether SanDisk can convert that momentum into a sustainable move toward new highs.
Recent reporting supports the bullish backdrop: AI demand and tight NAND supply are key drivers, while technical analysis has highlighted bullish momentum and important levels around $1,720–$1,825.
