#AppleSeptemberEvent
Apple’s fall event is done. New CEO John Ternus stepped onto the stage for the first time and introduced the foldable iPhone Duo — a 7.6-inch inner display starting at 1,999 dollars — alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series. Shares moved higher after the keynote. The open question is whether the foldable form factor can become the next real growth driver or whether the market has already priced most of the optimism.
On the 4-hour chart AAPL is trading near 315.44 after the post-event bounce. The 50-period EMA sits at 315.99 and the 200-period EMA is lower at 303.01. Bollinger Bands stretch from roughly 308.99 to 329.41, with the middle band near 319.20. Immediate resistance is marked at 329.41 and the higher 344 area. Support starts at 308.99, followed by the deeper 299–303 zone. RSI is at 47, neutral, and MACD remains mixed after the recent consolidation.
The bullish case is a clean hold above the 309–316 support band and a subsequent push through 329. If early demand signals for the Duo are strong, pricing holds, and the shipment schedule looks solid, the path of least resistance can open toward the upper resistance zone. In that scenario the entire 316–309 region becomes the first support band on any pullback.
The bearish case starts with a failure to hold 309. A break under that level on rising volume would likely target the 303–299 area and keep the stock range-bound until the market digests actual pre-order and early sales data. Event-driven rallies often fade when the product details fail to exceed elevated expectations on pricing or availability.
I am treating 329 as the near-term upside reference and 309 as the short-term trend filter. The foldable launch is a genuine product-cycle event and Ternus’s debut adds a leadership narrative, yet the chart still has to convert the news into sustained follow-through. Size stays measured until one of those levels resolves with volume.
Do you see the iPhone Duo as a meaningful new growth engine for Apple, or has the bullish impact already been largely priced in? Share your levels and framing.
