#GateUSPartnersWithRQDClearing

When traders look at a stock or options platform, the first things they usually notice are the assets, prices, charts and execution interface. But behind every successful market experience is a much less visible layer: clearing and trading infrastructure. That is what makes the potential collaboration between Gate US and RQD Clearing particularly interesting.

The key point is that this is not simply about adding another name to the U.S. trading ecosystem. Gate US is exploring a strategic collaboration with RQD Clearing, a U.S. clearing and infrastructure provider that connects market participants with the U.S. equities and options markets. If the partnership develops as expected, the bigger story could be how infrastructure improvements support the next stage of scalable stock and options trading.

RQD's existing scale makes the collaboration worth watching. According to Gate's published information, RQD Clearing processed approximately 69.5 billion shares and 64.8 million options contracts during the first seven months of 2026. Those numbers provide an indication of the amount of market activity its infrastructure is already handling.

The equity side is equally notable, with around $2 trillion in equity transaction notional value reported over the same period. At that scale, clearing isn't just a background technical function. Reliability, capacity, settlement processes and operational efficiency can all become increasingly important as trading volumes grow.

There is another reason the timing stands out. RQD recently raised $74 million, led by Bain Capital, giving the company additional capital to expand its infrastructure. Combined with Gate US's interest in strengthening its U.S. market capabilities, the potential collaboration creates an interesting intersection between established clearing infrastructure and a rapidly evolving digital trading environment.

For traders, the most important question isn't simply whether two companies are working together. It is what better infrastructure could eventually mean for the actual trading experience.

U.S. stock and options markets require a complex network behind the scenes. A platform can offer a smooth interface, but the ability to scale efficiently depends on everything underneath it working reliably. Stronger clearing relationships can potentially support higher trading capacity, broader market access and more efficient operational workflows as participation increases.

The options market makes this especially important. Options involve additional layers of complexity compared with straightforward equity transactions, including contract specifications, clearing requirements and risk-management processes. As demand for U.S. options trading continues to develop, infrastructure capable of handling larger volumes becomes an increasingly important competitive factor.

The most interesting future angle is therefore scalability.

If Gate US can combine its trading platform capabilities with stronger U.S. clearing infrastructure, the potential benefit isn't limited to today's trading volume. It could create a foundation designed to handle significantly greater participation in equities and options over time.

And then there is agentic AI.

The collaboration is also expected to explore capabilities related to agentic AI, which could eventually change how users interact with financial markets. Instead of simply providing charts and execution tools, future trading systems could potentially use AI-driven agents to analyze information, organize workflows and assist with increasingly complex market activity.

That doesn't mean AI automatically creates better trading results. Markets will remain unpredictable, and technology cannot remove investment risk. But combining advanced AI capabilities with institutional-grade infrastructure could become an important direction for the next generation of trading platforms.

From a market perspective, I see three major points worth watching.

First: infrastructure scale. RQD's reported 69.5 billion shares and 64.8 million options contracts cleared during the first seven months of 2026 demonstrate the scale already involved.

Second: capital expansion. The $74 million funding round gives RQD additional resources to develop its infrastructure, potentially supporting future growth.

Third: Gate US's broader U.S. strategy. A relationship focused on clearing and infrastructure suggests the ambition may extend beyond simply providing an interface for trading. The underlying objective could be building a more scalable connection between users and U.S. financial markets.

The potential impact is therefore more structural than immediate.

This isn't a story about a stock suddenly moving 20% because of a partnership announcement. It is a story about the infrastructure required to support the next generation of U.S. trading. If Gate US continues expanding its equities and options offering, reliable clearing and market infrastructure could become one of the most important pieces of that growth.

My takeaway is simple: the exchange layer gets the attention, but infrastructure determines how far the system can scale.

Gate US × RQD Clearing puts that infrastructure layer directly into focus. With billions of shares, tens of millions of options contracts and trillions of dollars in equity transaction value already flowing through RQD's reported network, the potential collaboration could become an important step toward building a more scalable U.S. trading ecosystem.

The bigger opportunity isn't just trading more.

It is building the infrastructure capable of supporting more markets, more users, more sophisticated products and eventually more AI-driven trading experiences. @Gate_Square
