#IntelSurgesOver9%
Intel has surged more than 9 percent against a softer broader market. The move is being attributed to a combination of CPU price-hike expectations, progress on the 1.4nm foundry roadmap, and a reduction in concerns around government-related selling. The stock has pushed back above the 100 level and is testing the upper end of its recent range.
On the 4-hour chart price is trading near 104.45 after the sharp advance. Immediate resistance is marked near 104.76–107.56. Support starts at the rising short-term averages around 95–101, followed by the deeper 85–91 zone. RSI has climbed to 73, reflecting the strength of the impulse, while MACD has turned positive. The speed of the move has left the short-term structure extended.
The bullish case is a clean hold above the 100–101 area and a subsequent push through the 107–110 zone. If the CPU pricing narrative and the foundry updates continue to attract capital, the path of least resistance can stay higher. In that scenario the entire 100–95 region becomes the first support band on any pullback.
The bearish case starts with a failure to hold the 100 level. A break back under that zone on rising volume would likely open the door to a deeper retracement toward the mid-90s and turn the current spike into a short-term liquidity event. After a single-day move of this size, some digestion is normal once the immediate catalyst is priced in.
I am treating 107–110 as the near-term upside reference and 100 as the short-term trend filter. The combination of pricing power and foundry progress is a real fundamental tailwind, yet the chart still has to confirm whether buyers are willing to defend the breakout or whether the market needs time to consolidate. Size stays measured until one of those levels resolves with volume.
Do you see this as the next leg of Intel’s turnaround, or are you waiting for a pullback after the sharp rise? Share your levels and framing.
