#GateGloballyLaunchesStockEventContracts

Gate has globally launched Stock Event Contracts, expanding the event-contract product line beyond crypto into individual equities. The first batch includes Micron, SanDisk, SK Hynix and Unitree. The structure is deliberately simple: no leverage, no margin, just a directional view on price over 5-minute or 15-minute cycles. Settlement is automatic at expiry, early close is supported, and take-profit and stop-loss can be set independently.

The design removes the usual barriers that keep many participants out of short-horizon equity products. There is no need to hold the underlying stock, no margin calculation and no liquidation risk. The only decision is whether the name finishes higher or lower at the end of the chosen window. That makes the product closer to a pure prediction market than to traditional leveraged derivatives.

The initial list is concentrated in names that already carry high attention. Micron and SK Hynix sit at the center of the AI-memory narrative. SanDisk brings the storage side of the same cycle. Unitree adds a robotics and automation angle. The mix gives participants a clear set of liquid, news-sensitive underlyings to start with. Crypto event contracts remain available alongside the new stock contracts, covering BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, HYPE and BNB, so the same short-cycle format now spans both asset classes.
I treat the launch as a meaningful expansion of the event-contract toolkit rather than a niche add-on. Short-duration directional contracts attract flow when the underlying is moving and go quiet when it is range-bound. Early volume and settlement patterns will show whether the product attracts consistent participation or remains driven by discrete news events in the semiconductor and robotics complex.

The practical filter is the same as with any new short-horizon product: size stays modest until the liquidity profile and the typical range of outcomes become clear. The absence of leverage keeps the risk transparent, but the speed of 5-minute and 15-minute windows still requires discipline.

Curious how others are approaching the debut list. Are you starting with the semiconductor names on the 15-minute cycle, testing the 5-minute window, or waiting to see how liquidity develops first? Share your framing.
