I joined Gate in January 2025, mainly because I was curious about crypto and wanted to understand how trading actually worked. At that time, charts looked exciting, but honestly, half the candles felt like they were moving just to confuse me. 😂

MY FIRST TRADE

I still remember the nervous feeling before placing my first trade. I entered without fully understanding how quickly price could move against me. My first position was less about making money and more about getting my first real lesson from the market. The moment I saw the position move into loss, I understood something no tutorial could explain properly: entering a trade is easy, managing it is the real skill.

THE BEGINNER MISTAKE

My biggest early mistake was treating a small price movement like it was a guaranteed opportunity. I entered too quickly, watched every candle, and started making decisions emotionally. One minute I was thinking, “This is going to the moon,” and shortly afterward I was wondering why the market had suddenly become my enemy. 😂

THE FIRST BIG LESSON

That experience changed my approach completely. I learned that risk management has to come before profit. A good entry needs a reason, a position needs a plan, and every trade needs an exit strategy. Instead of asking only, “How much can I make?” I started asking, “How much am I willing to lose if my idea is wrong?”

FROM WATCHING TO ANALYZING

Over time, I stopped simply watching green and red candles and started studying the market behind them. I began paying attention to support and resistance, volume, trend structure, moving averages, RSI and momentum. I also started watching Bitcoin’s reaction to macroeconomic news because one strong move in BTC can completely change the mood across the crypto market.

THE MEMORABLE MOMENTS

Some of the funniest moments from my journey were actually the trades where my confidence disappeared within minutes. 😂 A chart could look perfect before entering, then immediately decide to test my patience. Those moments taught me that the market does not care about my prediction, my confidence or how convincing my analysis looks.

JANUARY 2025 → SEPTEMBER 2026

More than a year later, my biggest change is not that I suddenly became a perfect trader—I definitely did not. 😂 The difference is that I now approach trades with more structure. I look for confirmation instead of blindly chasing momentum, I think about risk before position size, and I understand that sometimes the best trade is simply no trade.

WHAT GATE MEANS TO ME NOW

Gate has become more than the place where I started trading. It represents the timeline of my learning process—from being curious about crypto in January 2025 to becoming much more comfortable reading market structure, studying opportunities and understanding risk.

60 MILLION USERS

Now Gate has officially surpassed 60 million users worldwide, and seeing that milestone makes my own journey feel even more meaningful. I joined when I was simply trying to understand crypto. Today, I can look back and see how many lessons, mistakes, market moves and late-night chart checks happened along the way.

MY GATE TIMELINE

January 2025: Curiosity.

First trade: Excitement mixed with nerves.

First mistake: Learning that emotions can be expensive.

Next phase: Studying charts, risk and market structure.

Today: More discipline, more patience and a much clearer trading mindset.

60 million users: A milestone that makes the journey even bigger.

THE REAL WIN

The biggest profit from my first trade was not the P&L. It was the lesson. Markets will always provide another setup, but capital and discipline are what allow a trader to stay around long enough to take it.

Gate reaching 60 million users is a huge milestone, but for me, the more interesting number is the time between January 2025 and today. That is where the real journey happened.
