CoinMarketCap’s latest report puts Gate at the top of the RWA perpetual open-interest ranking. RWA perpetual open interest reached 378.8 million dollars, accounting for 49.6 percent of the global CEX total. Gate also ranked first in the number of RWA trading tickers, and volume in the sector grew roughly 5.3 times from 12.2 billion dollars to 64.8 billion dollars between June and August.
The volume chart tells a complementary story. Gate’s weekly volume peaked near 20.6–20.7 billion dollars during the mid-August correction week, a figure described as more than seven times the June weekly average. That spike landed inside a broader market pullback, which suggests the activity was not simply a function of rising prices.
I treat the open-interest lead and the volume expansion as real evidence that RWA has moved from narrative into actual trading flow. A near-50 percent share of global CEX open interest in any category is a meaningful concentration. At the same time, concentration of this size also means the platform’s ranking will be sensitive to any sustained change in participant behavior or competing listings.

The practical question is durability. If the current open-interest and volume levels hold through quieter market periods, the ranking becomes structural. If they prove to be concentrated around a few high-volume weeks, the lead will narrow once activity normalizes.
