GATE TRENCHES: MEME TRADING JUST GOT MORE SOCIAL
Gate has officially launched Trenches, a new one-stop on-chain trading product built around the social side of Meme trading. The launch brings together token discovery, real-time charts and on-chain execution while adding community-driven features designed to help traders identify where attention is moving.

0 GAS ON ROBINHOOD CHAIN

The headline feature is simple: traders can currently enjoy zero network gas fees when trading Robinhood Chain assets through Trenches, with the promotion running for a limited time. The exact end date will be announced separately by Gate.

That matters because gas can become a meaningful cost when traders are testing smaller Meme positions or making multiple entries and exits. Removing that network cost lowers one barrier to experimentation.

0.5% TRADING FEE

The gas promotion is only part of the launch. Trenches has introduced a unified 0.5% buy and 0.5% sell trading fee, available across Gate Web and the Gate App.

For Meme traders, where frequent position adjustments can make costs accumulate quickly, a clearly defined fee structure makes the trading experience easier to understand.

15+ CHAINS, ONE TRADING EXPERIENCE

Trenches currently covers 15 major networks, including Robinhood Chain, Solana, Ethereum, Gate Layer, BNB Chain, Base, Sui, Arbitrum, World Chain, Avalanche, Polygon, Linea, zkSync, Optimism and Berachain.

This is important because Meme liquidity is fragmented. A token can suddenly attract attention on one chain while another ecosystem is quiet. Having multiple networks inside the same trading environment makes it easier to follow those shifts instead of treating every chain as a separate market.

MY TAKE

The most interesting part of Trenches isn't simply “zero gas.”

It's the combination of lower trading costs + multi-chain access + Meme discovery + social trading signals.

Zero gas on Robinhood Chain can attract experimentation. The 0.5% trading fee can reduce friction. Multi-chain coverage expands the opportunity set. And the upcoming social rankings could help traders identify where attention is concentrating.

But lower fees don't remove trading risk. Meme tokens can have extreme volatility, thin liquidity and rapid reversals. A zero-gas trade can still become a 50% loss if the underlying token collapses.

So I would use Trenches as a discovery and execution environment, not as a reason to chase every token that suddenly appears on a leaderboard.
