Anthropic is suddenly becoming a tradable narrative on-chain. According to the data you shared, Entropy deployed the Anthropic Pre-IPO market on Hyperliquid on September 7, with ANTH trading around $1,988, up 0.74% over 24 hours. The market is already showing meaningful activity, with approximately $9.69M in daily trading volume and $18.32M in open interest. That is a notable amount of capital for a newly launched pre-IPO market.

WHY THIS LAUNCH MATTERS

ANTH is not Anthropic common stock. It is a pre-IPO market representation, so traders should not treat the $1,988 price as an official public-market share price. The significance is that traders now have a market through which they can express views on one of the most closely watched private AI companies before its potential public listing.

And the timing is particularly interesting.

ANTHROPIC'S PRIVATE VALUATION HAS EXPLODED

Anthropic raised $65B in its Series H financing at a $965B post-money valuation in May 2026.

That is an extraordinary jump from its $380B valuation in the February 2026 Series G round.

In other words, the market is no longer valuing Anthropic like an ordinary AI startup. Investors are positioning Claude as a potential major enterprise AI platform capable of competing at the highest level of the industry.

THE REVENUE ACCELERATION IS THE REAL STORY

The most important fundamental number is revenue growth.

Reuters reported that Anthropic's annualized revenue run rate had exceeded $65B by the end of July, compared with approximately $47B in May and only around $9B at the end of 2025.

That is an enormous acceleration in less than a year.

But there is an important distinction: a revenue run rate is an annualized projection based on the current pace, not the same thing as $65B of recognized annual revenue. Traders should keep that difference in mind when evaluating ANTH.

THE IPO CATALYST IS GETTING CLOSER

Anthropic has confidentially moved toward an IPO, and Reuters reported on September 4 that the company was expected to begin marketing the offering around mid-October, although the schedule remains subject to change. Reports have suggested a potential valuation of up to $2T.

That creates the central catalyst for ANTH: as the IPO gets closer, traders may continuously reprice the market based on expectations for Anthropic's eventual public valuation.

$1,988: WHAT I WOULD WATCH

At the current reference price of $1,988, I would not chase a fresh vertical move simply because the headline is exciting.

My first trading checkpoint would be around $2,100. A sustained move above that level with expanding volume could indicate that buyers are willing to price in more aggressive IPO expectations.

The next psychological zone would be $2,250, followed by $2,500.

On the downside, I would watch $1,900 first. Losing that level with rising selling volume would make me more cautious, while a deeper move toward $1,750–$1,800 would suggest that the market is unwinding some of the IPO premium.

This is a scenario-based framework, not a guaranteed forecast.

THE $18.32M OPEN-INTEREST SIGNAL

The $18.32M open interest is arguably more interesting than the 0.74% daily gain.

Volume tells us how much trading is happening. Open interest tells us how much derivative positioning remains open. With open interest already substantially larger than the reported daily volume, traders should expect volatility if positioning becomes crowded in either direction.

A new market can move aggressively because liquidity is still developing. Therefore, price alone should not be interpreted as fundamental confirmation.

WHY ANTHROPIC HAS A REAL AI THESIS

The Claude ecosystem is the fundamental reason this market exists.

Anthropic has been aggressively expanding compute capacity to support Claude demand, including major infrastructure commitments. Reuters recently reported agreements involving Microsoft/Nvidia-backed Azure, Nscale and other infrastructure providers as Anthropic races to secure the compute required for growth.

That creates both opportunity and risk: stronger AI demand can drive revenue, but frontier AI also requires enormous amounts of computing infrastructure and capital.

THE BIGGEST RISK

The biggest risk for ANTH is valuation versus execution.

A valuation approaching $1T has already priced in enormous future growth, while expectations around a potential $2T IPO are even more aggressive. Anthropic's July annualized revenue pace of $65B was also below some investor expectations of more than $80B, according to recent reporting.

Competition from OpenAI and other AI companies is another major variable.

And unlike a normal publicly listed stock, a newly launched pre-IPO market can carry additional liquidity, pricing, structure and tracking risks.

At $1,988, my bias is cautiously bullish but highly risk-aware.

If Claude's revenue acceleration continues and the IPO valuation expectations remain strong, ANTH could become a major pre-IPO trading narrative. But at nearly $2,000 per token, I would trade the volatility not assume that every IPO headline automatically means higher prices.
