JANUARY 2025 WHERE IT STARTED

“I joined Gate in January 2025 without knowing that my first trade would become the beginning of a much bigger learning journey.”

At that time, my motivation was simple: curiosity about crypto and trading. I wasn't joining with a professional strategy or a complicated technical system. I was basically the person who looked at a chart, saw a green candle and thought, “Maybe this is the perfect entry.” 😅📈

Looking back, that was probably the beginning of my real trading education.

MY FIRST DOGE TRADE

One of my earliest memorable trades was DOGE. On January 15, 2025, Dogecoin was trading around $0.3857, with more than $4.07 billion in 24-hour trading volume and a market cap of roughly $56.95 billion. DOGE was already moving strongly, gaining about 12.7% over the previous seven days.

For a beginner, that chart looked extremely attractive. Strong momentum, huge volume, and green candles everywhere. 🚀

My thinking was simple: “If it is going up, why would I wait?”

That sentence sounds funny now… but it was also the beginning of my first important lesson.

THE BEGINNER TRAP

My biggest mistake wasn't choosing DOGE. It was entering because the market was moving fast without properly understanding why I was entering, where I would exit, or how much I was willing to lose.

I was watching the price more than the structure.

A candle moved up → excitement.

A candle moved down → panic.

A small profit appeared → “Maybe I should close.”

A pullback appeared → “Why is DOGE doing this to me?” 😂

That was my first introduction to the emotional side of trading.

THE CHART TAUGHT ME MORE THAN THE TRADE

Later, I started looking at markets differently. Instead of asking only “Will price go up?”, I began asking better questions:

Where is support?

Where is resistance?

Is volume confirming the move?

Is momentum sustainable?

What happens if my idea is wrong?

That shift was more important than any single winning trade.

DOGE itself demonstrated how quickly sentiment can change. One day after the January 15 snapshot, DOGE was around $0.3767, down about 2.3% on the day, while by January 17 it had moved to roughly $0.4159.

The lesson was obvious: short-term price direction is not a straight line.

FROM WATCHING CANDLES TO READING STRUCTURE

Over time, I moved from simply watching price to studying market structure, volume, trend direction, support/resistance and momentum.

I learned that an entry without a risk plan is not really a strategy.

I also learned that technical analysis isn't about predicting every candle. It is about building a scenario and knowing what would prove that scenario wrong.

That changed my approach completely.

Instead of chasing a breakout after the candle had already exploded, I started looking for confirmation. Instead of holding blindly, I started defining invalidation levels. Instead of treating every loss as failure, I started treating losses as the cost of learning—provided the same mistake wasn't repeated.

THE FUNNY PART OF THE JOURNEY

There was a time when I could spend more time staring at a 1-minute candle than studying the actual market trend. 😂📊

One tiny red candle could completely change my mood.

Today, I can look at the same kind of move and think: “Is this just volatility, or has the structure actually changed?”

That difference may sound small, but for me it represents a huge amount of learning.

ONE YEAR, ONE DIFFERENT TRADER

January 2025 was about curiosity.

Then came the mistakes.

Then came the charts.

Then came technical analysis, risk management, market psychology and the realization that surviving the market is more important than winning every trade.

My journey wasn't a straight line from beginner to expert. It was much more realistic: confusion → mistakes → learning → adjustment → discipline.

And honestly, that is what makes the journey memorable.

FROM ONE USER TO 60 MILLION

Now Gate has reached a milestone of 60 million users worldwide.

That number makes me look back at January 2025 differently.

I joined as one curious user trying to understand crypto. Today, seeing Gate reach 60 million users feels like watching a small personal chapter become part of a much larger global story.

60 million users means 60 million different starting points.

Some joined for trading.

Some for learning.

Some for Web3.

Some simply because they were curious—just like I was.

But behind every account can be a story of a first trade, a first mistake, a first profit, or a first lesson.

MY GATE TIMELINE

January 2025: Curiosity.

First DOGE trade: Excitement.

First mistakes: Reality check. 😅

Next stage: Learning charts and market structure.

After that: Risk management and discipline.

Today: More structured decisions and a much deeper understanding of the market.

60M users: A reminder that my journey is only one story among millions.

THE REAL MILESTONE

For me, the most meaningful part of Gate reaching 60 million users isn't just the number.

It is what that number represents.

Millions of people are somewhere on their own timeline—maybe opening their first trading screen today, making their first trade tomorrow, or learning a lesson that will completely change how they approach markets.

I know that feeling because January 2025 was my starting point.

I didn't know where that first DOGE trade would lead.

I only knew I was curious.

Now, more than a year later, I realize the first trade wasn't really the important part.

The learning journey that started with it was.

And from January 2025 → 60 million users, I'm still learning, still watching the charts, and hopefully making fewer “why did I enter there?” decisions. 😂📈
