#GateUSStockOptionsNowLive Gate US Stock Options Are Live A New Way to Trade U.S. Market Volatility With USDT
Gate has officially launched U.S. stock options trading, giving eligible users a new way to participate in the U.S. equity market directly through the Gate ecosystem. The launch went live on September 2, 2026, and the initial lineup focuses on nine widely followed U.S. stocks: NVDA, TSLA, AAPL, META, AMD, MU, AMZN, GOOGL and AVGO.
What makes this launch particularly interesting is the structure. Gate says users do not need to open a separate U.S. brokerage or margin account. After updating the Gate App to version V8.35.0 or above and opening a Stock Account, users can access the Stock Options section through TradFi and select the underlying asset, Call or Put direction, expiration and strike price.
The second major point is settlement. Instead of physical delivery of U.S. shares, Gate's stock options are settled in USDT, meaning traders do not need to prepare additional capital for stock delivery at settlement. The platform calculates the applicable difference according to the product rules, creating a structure that is more familiar to crypto-native traders.
The fee structure is another headline feature. Gate states that it charges $0 platform fees, $0 options commissions and $0 exercise/assignment fees for these U.S. stock options. Users can still incur third-party regulatory and clearing charges. For example, Gate currently lists approximately $0.0373 per contract in third-party fees on purchases, while sales can also include SEC and FINRA charges.
The initial asset selection is also strategically interesting. NVIDIA, AMD and Micron give traders exposure to the semiconductor and AI-infrastructure cycle; Amazon, Alphabet and Meta represent major cloud, advertising and AI platforms; Apple brings mega-cap consumer technology; Tesla adds a high-volatility EV and technology name; and Broadcom provides exposure to networking, semiconductors and data-center infrastructure.
This means the first nine contracts are not random names. They represent some of the most actively followed technology and growth stocks in the global market, where earnings, AI investment, interest rates and macroeconomic expectations can create substantial short-term volatility.
For traders, the important difference between owning a stock and trading an option is direction plus time. A Call can be used when a trader expects upside, while a Put can be used when expecting downside. But the option's premium, strike price, expiration and the underlying stock's volatility all matter. Being correct about direction alone does not automatically guarantee a profitable options trade.
That makes risk management especially important.
An options trader should watch the underlying price, implied volatility, bid-ask spread, expiration and the amount of premium at risk rather than focusing only on whether the stock moves up or down. A leveraged options position can move much faster than the underlying asset, which means disciplined position sizing is essential.
Gate's launch also expands the meaning of its multi-asset strategy. Instead of keeping crypto trading, traditional assets and derivatives completely separate, the platform is increasingly bringing different market instruments into one ecosystem. U.S. stock options therefore represent another step toward a broader trading environment where users can move between crypto markets and traditional financial markets without managing multiple platforms.
There is also an important timing factor. U.S. equities are entering a period where AI spending, Federal Reserve policy, inflation expectations, Treasury yields and corporate earnings are all capable of producing sharp moves. That environment naturally creates demand for tools that allow traders to express both bullish and bearish views.
The initial nine-stock lineup gives traders a focused starting point, while Gate says additional stock and ETF options are expected to be added gradually. That expansion could eventually make the platform more useful for traders looking beyond the first group of technology-heavy names.
Trading hours are currently another point to understand. During the initial phase, Gate supports regular U.S. market hours from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, with U.S. market holidays and early closures following the relevant market schedule.
One detail that traders should not overlook is settlement pricing. Gate states that settlement occurs approximately 30 minutes before the official settlement time, with the settlement price calculated from the average price of the underlying asset during the relevant 30-minute period rather than simply using the final market price.
So the real story behind this launch is not simply “stock options are now available.”
It is the combination of U.S. equities + options strategies + USDT settlement + one Gate account + zero Gate platform/commission fees.
For crypto-native traders, that creates a much more direct connection to traditional equity volatility. For experienced options traders, the attraction is the ability to structure directional strategies around some of the world's most closely watched companies.
But the opportunity comes with risk. Options are complex instruments, premiums can lose value rapidly, and the maximum loss for an option buyer can be the premium paid. Users should understand the specific contract terms, fees, settlement rules and risks before trading.
The first chapter is now open with nine major names.
NVDA. TSLA. AAPL. META. AMD. MU. AMZN. GOOGL. AVGO.
Gate's U.S. stock options launch is another sign that the boundary between crypto-native trading infrastructure and traditional financial markets is becoming increasingly connected with USDT acting as the settlement bridge. @Gate_Square
