#DellSurges15.81%LeadsS&P500
Dell posted a strong Q2 print and the market responded immediately. Revenue came in at 47 billion dollars, ahead of estimates. AI server orders hit a record 60.9 billion dollars and the backlog now sits at 95 billion. Full-year guidance was raised to 192 billion. The stock led the S&P 500 with a 15.81 percent surge on the numbers.
On the 4-hour chart price is currently trading at 492.31 after a 6.16 percent advance. The 50-period EMA sits at 449.35 and the 200-period EMA is much lower at 370.80. Bollinger Bands stretch from 417.94 on the downside to 485.26 on the upside, with the middle band near 451.60. Price has broken above the upper band and is testing the SRL resistance at 493.78. That level is the clear near-term ceiling. Support starts at the upper band region near 485, followed by the middle band at 451.60 and the deeper 449–417 zone.
RSI is at 61.77, constructive and with room in both directions. MACD remains positive with the histogram still expanding, showing that momentum has not yet rolled over.
The bullish case is a clean hold above 485 and a subsequent break of 493.78. If the 60.9 billion dollar order book and the 95 billion backlog continue to convert into actual shipments and revenue, the path of least resistance stays higher. In that scenario the entire 485–451 zone becomes the first support band on any pullback.
The bearish case starts with a failure to hold 485. A break back under that level on rising volume would likely target 451.60 and open the door toward 449. After a sharp post-earnings gap and with the stock already extended, some digestion is normal once the initial reaction fades.
I am treating 493.78 as the immediate upside pivot and 485 as the short-term trend filter. The fundamental backdrop from AI server demand is clearly strong, but the chart still has to confirm whether buyers are willing to defend the breakout or whether the move was mostly a one-day liquidity event. Size stays measured until one of those levels resolves with volume.
How long do you think the AI hardware rally can sustain after numbers like these? Are you treating the break of 490 as the start of a larger leg, or already looking for mean-reversion under 485? Share your levels.
