Solana is sitting at an interesting crossroads: the price is under pressure, but the network’s real-world-asset economy is moving in the opposite direction. SOL is currently around $98.08 based on the market snapshot for this post, while tokenized equities and their use inside DeFi are continuing to expand. That divergence is exactly what makes the current SOL setup worth watching.
The headline is bigger than just another RWA milestone. Tokenized equity activity on Solana has reached new highs, while tokenized stocks are increasingly being used as productive collateral inside lending protocols rather than simply being traded and held. Recent Solana data showed tokenized equity outstanding value reaching $535 million, while tokenized-equity collateral in lending markets climbed through the $50 million range. More recent ecosystem data puts tokenized-equity deposits across Solana lending protocols around the $60 million level, showing that the trend is moving from simple tokenization toward actual DeFi utility.
This distinction matters. Trading a tokenized stock is one thing; depositing that token into a lending market and borrowing against it is another. The second use case creates a connection between traditional financial exposure and decentralized liquidity. Instead of selling a tokenized equity position to access capital, users can potentially use it as collateral and maintain their market exposure. That gives Solana’s RWA narrative a deeper layer than simply measuring transaction volume.
The broader numbers strengthen the argument. Solana recorded $3.47 billion in tokenized-equity trading volume in June, representing more than 96% of tokenized-equity volume across chains that month. Q2 tokenized-equity activity was also reported at roughly $5.77 billion. These figures suggest that tokenized stocks are becoming a meaningful part of Solana’s financial activity rather than remaining a small experimental corner of the ecosystem.
Now comes the important question for SOL traders: why isn't the token price automatically following the RWA growth?
Because network adoption and token price are connected, but they are not the same thing.
SOL around $98.08 is still trading in a technically sensitive area. The $100 psychological level is the first obvious checkpoint. A clean reclaim above $100, followed by sustained buying volume, would improve the short-term structure and could open the door toward the next resistance zone around $105–$110. On the other hand, failure to reclaim $100 and continued selling pressure would keep the market vulnerable to another move lower.
From a technical-analysis perspective, I would avoid treating $98 as confirmation of a bullish reversal. The more important signal is whether SOL can turn the $100 area from resistance into support. That would show that buyers are beginning to absorb the supply above the current price. If price repeatedly rejects $100, the market is still telling us that sellers have control of the short-term trend.
The momentum indicators should also be read together rather than individually. RSI moving back above the 50 area would provide a stronger momentum confirmation, while a bullish MACD crossover would suggest that downside momentum is losing strength. VWAP is another key reference for shorter-term traders: if SOL can reclaim and hold above session VWAP while volume expands, the recovery becomes more credible. If price remains below VWAP and every bounce is sold, the safer interpretation is still a relief rally rather than a confirmed trend reversal.
The interesting part is that Solana's fundamentals are developing while SOL's chart is asking traders for confirmation. That creates a classic divergence between ecosystem growth and market sentiment.
The RWA side is not standing still either. Solana now hosts tokenized stocks, ETFs, treasuries and other real-world assets, with major infrastructure connecting these assets to swaps, lending and portfolio applications. The network's own RWA overview currently tracks billions of dollars of tokenized value, highlighting how quickly the category has expanded.
For SOL, that creates a potential long-term fundamental tailwind, but technical traders still need to respect price structure. A growing tokenized-equity economy can strengthen the network's utility without immediately forcing SOL higher. What matters next is whether increasing RWA activity eventually translates into deeper liquidity, greater DeFi usage, more collateral demand and sustained capital flowing through the Solana ecosystem.
My current view is therefore cautiously constructive rather than blindly bullish. At around $98.08, SOL is close enough to the $100 psychological barrier that the next breakout attempt could become important. I would watch $100 first, then $105–$110 for confirmation of stronger momentum. On the downside, losing the recent support structure with rising volume would invalidate the immediate recovery thesis and bring lower support levels back into focus.
The bigger story is simple: Solana is increasingly becoming a bridge between traditional assets and on-chain finance. Tokenized equities reaching record levels and lending deposits approaching $60 million show that the RWA narrative is becoming more useful, not merely more popular.
For me, the strongest signal would be a combination of fundamentals and chart confirmation: RWA adoption continues higher, SOL reclaims $100, RSI improves, MACD turns bullish, and price holds above VWAP with stronger volume. If those signals align, the current weakness could eventually look more like accumulation than deterioration.
Until then, I am watching the $100 level closely. The fundamentals are giving Solana a reason to be optimistic; the chart still needs to prove it.
