Hyperliquid is a high-performance Layer1 for perpetual trading.
• Purpose: Decentralized perps exchange with its own L1. HYPE is the native token for gas, staking and fees. The chain aims to be the fastest order-book DEX, competing with centralized exchanges.
• Why It Matters: One of the top new L1s in 2025-2026. While many alts are -50% yearly, HYPE is +84.39% yearly and +163.17% in 180 days, showing strong relative strength.
• Tokenomics: HYPE has buyback and burn from protocol fees. No VC unlocks like typical new L1s, community focused distribution via points and airdrop.
• Performance Context: 30d +50.57% is still very strong despite today -1.05%. The pullback from 85.37 high to 81.54 is only -4.4%, much smaller than SOL or XRP corrections. 2. WHAT TO WATCH
A. Bearish EMA Compression: EMA5 82.12 < EMA10 82.41 < EMA30 82.74. Price 81.54 below all three. Breakdown started Sept 1 09:00 from 83-84 area after rejection at 85.37 high.

B. 81.24 - 80.64 Support Test: Purple dashed 81.24 and 24h Low 80.64 are being tested. The previous low on Sept 1 was also around 80.31, making this a double bottom zone.

C. MFI 54.99 Neutral: MFI at 54.99, middle range. It peaked near 94.95 at the 85.37 top, then dropped to oversold at 79.05 low Aug 30. Current 54.99 shows no panic, just consolidation after uptrend.

D. Relative Strength: While BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP all broke down -2% to -3%, HYPE also -2.07% but still holds above 81.24 support and its 180d is +163.17%. Holding 80.64 keeps uptrend intact.

Chart shows spike from 79.05 low Aug 30 to 85.37 high Aug 31, range Sept 1 around 83-85, then breakdown Sept 1 evening from 83.90 to 80.31, range Sept 2 around 82-84, now breakdown to 81.51.

• 79.05: Swing low from Aug 30, invalidation level.

Summary View:
HYPE is in short-term pullback after strong 30d +50.57% run to 85.37. Current 81.54 is testing Fib 0.618 golden pocket at 81.46 and holding above 81.24 support. The EMA stack turned bearish on 1h, but structure is healthier than other majors because pullback is shallow -4.4% vs -7% to -8% for SOL/XRP. Holding above 80.64 - 80.31 keeps uptrend toward 82.74 EMA30 and 83.90. Losing 80.31 opens 79.05. MFI at 54.99 neutral suggests consolidation, not distribution.
