NVIDIA’s venture capital arm NVentures participated in the Series D extension financing of Legora, an AI platform for lawyers.

AIMPACT News, May 3 (UTC+8) — Nvidia has added another piece to its artificial intelligence portfolio, with its corporate venture capital arm, NVentures, investing in Legora, reportedly marking its first investment in the legal AI sector. Legora is a Swedish-founded legal tech startup that uses AI to help lawyers improve efficiency and competes with U.S. company Harvey. With participation from Atlassian and other new investors, NVentures joined Legora’s shareholder base by participating in its $50 million Series D extension round. This financing came just one month after the company completed its $550 million Series D round last month. During this period, Legora, a Y Combinator alum, saw its annual recurring revenue (ARR) surpass $100 million, a milestone that drove its latest valuation to $5.6 billion (post-money valuation). This valuation brings Legora closer to Harvey’s level, which reached an $11 billion valuation last month. In addition, Andreessen Horowitz, Coatue Management, Conviction Partners, Elad Gil, Evantic backed by Matt Miller, and Kleiner Perkins also participated in the round. (Source: ChainCatcher)
