#GateEventContractChallenge,
BTCUSDT Long Analysis | Entry: 77,000 | 13x Isolated
1. Why BTC and Why This Level?
For me, BTC is the direction-setter of the market. It has the highest dominance and the deepest liquidity. Even in short-term volatility, I observe that its technical structure is the cleanest.
I opened this trade as Long at the 77,000 level. My reasons for choosing this level:
a) Psychological and Technical Support: The 77,000 level is both a round-number psychological support and the lower band of the previous consolidation. I observed that price was trying to hold at this level.
b) Defined Risk Structure: My estimated liquidation level is at 71,286.5. This gives me a wide margin for error and prevents the position from closing on a single wick. I chose isolated mode to limit my risk only to this trade.
c) Market Structure: After the short-term correction, I saw that sellers' momentum was weakening. I wanted to evaluate the potential for a bounce after the sharp drop.
2. My Mistakes in This Trade
Being professional means accepting mistakes:
1. Hasty Entry: I placed my order before price fully touched 77,000. The correct approach would have been to wait for an hourly candle close and a high-volume reaction.
2. Lack of Take-Profit Plan: I planned my entry but did not define my scaled exit levels in writing. This creates indecision during trade management.
3. Keeping Stop in Mind: I kept my stop-loss level in my mind, I did not write it into the system. In a volatile market, this is a serious discipline error.
3. What I Will Pay More Attention To in My Next Trade
• Mandatory written plan before every trade: Entry, invalidation, and 2 scaled take-profit points.
• Leverage management: When market volatility is high, I will aim to stay at the same risk ratio with lower leverage instead of 13x.
• Multi-timeframe confirmation: If the 15-minute trigger and the 1-hour main trend are not in the same direction, I will reduce my position size by 50%.
• Time stop: If the expected reaction does not come within a certain time, I will review the position regardless of whether I am in profit or loss.
4. Realistic Suggestions for Readers
1. Leveraged trading involves high risk, do not risk your entire capital.
2. Isolated mode is the simplest way to keep your risk under control.
3. Do not focus on a single trade, focus on the process. Your average over a 10-trade period is what matters.
4. Keep a trading journal. I am learning by writing down these mistakes of mine.
The process is ongoing, I will continue managing it with discipline.
