Robinhood Chain Generates US$1.84 Million in Revenue in 24 Hours

Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum-based Layer-2 blockchain launched on July 1, 2026, recorded approximately US$1.84 million in app revenue over 24 hours, surpassing Ethereum (US$1.14 million) for that period and placing it second behind Solana (US$5.03 million). Although this figure is impressive, Ethereum still leads in 30-day revenue (US$45.84 million vs. Robinhood Chain’s US$21.05 million), showing that Robinhood Chain has not yet surpassed Ethereum overall.

Robinhood Chain’s early success was driven by a strong user distribution strategy, integration with Robinhood’s financial products, and a focus on Real-World Assets (RWA) such as tokenized stocks and ETFs. Significant activity was driven by applications such as PONS, which recorded high DEX volume and a token buyback mechanism. The ecosystem also showed growth in TVL (US$727 million), bridged assets (US$2.32 billion), and DEX volume (US$1.19 billion/24 hours).

However, the sustainability of this growth remains a key question. The main risks include dependence on a few applications, activity volatility, and regulatory challenges. Robinhood’s long-term strategy is to build on-chain financial market infrastructure by leveraging its large user base and AI integration, without necessarily replacing Ethereum, but rather becoming a financial application layer on top of it. Long-term success will be measured by its ability to sustain economic growth, not merely by daily spikes.

The 24-hour numbers look good, but over 30 days it’s still 2x behind ETH; we’ll have to see whether it can sustain this.

A few leading applications are carrying the torch, but more work is needed to diversify the ecosystem.

AI + financial infrastructure—this narrative is far more sophisticated than pure DeFi.

In the end, the Layer 2 race comes down to who has real users, and Robinhood has no shortage of them.

Outperforming ETH on the first day is just a gimmick; whether it can survive three bull-bear cycles is the real test.

Not going head-to-head with ETH, but building at the financial application layer—that positioning is quite clear-headed.
