Robinhood Chain just hit $883M in 24-hour DEX volume.
New ATH.
But volume alone isn’t the interesting part.
The bigger question is where this activity is coming from.
Robinhood didn’t build a chain to create another speculative L2.
It built one around the idea that its existing retail distribution could eventually move on-chain.
That’s a different growth model.
Instead of:
> build chain
> attract crypto users
> hope applications follow
Robinhood has:
> millions of existing users
> a financial product stack
> tokenized assets
> an on-chain venue to connect them
The $883M tells us people are already trading on the rail.
The harder test is what happens next.
Does volume remain when incentives cool?
Do tokenized stocks become a larger share?
Does Robinhood actually move its existing users onto the chain?
Because if the answer is yes, Robinhood Chain isn’t competing for crypto-native liquidity.
It’s importing liquidity from a much larger distribution network.
And that is a far more interesting thesis than another L2 hitting a volume ATH.
