GATE EVENT CONTRACTS: 1% REWARD — HOW USERS CAN BENEFIT SMARTLY
Gate’s Event Contracts Trading Carnival is currently offering a total prize pool of 200,000 USDT, and in my opinion this deserves attention from active Gate users. The campaign runs from August 26 to September 2, 2026, and includes several reward opportunities rather than just one leaderboard.
The biggest headline is the 1% trading-volume reward. Users reaching 1,000,000+ USDT eligible trading volume can reach the 1% tier. The published levels are 0.40% for 100K–200K USDT, 0.60% for 200K–400K, 0.70% for 400K–600K, 0.80% for 600K–800K, 0.90% for 800K–1M and 1% at 1M+ volume.
For example, mathematically, 100,000 USDT at 0.40% equals 400 USDT, 200,000 at 0.60% equals 1,200 USDT, 500,000 at 0.70% equals 3,500 USDT, 800,000 at 0.90% equals 7,200 USDT and 1,000,000 at 1% equals 10,000 USDT.
However, these are calculation examples, not guaranteed payouts because campaign pools, eligibility and distribution rules apply.
This is the first thing users need to understand: 1% does NOT mean depositing 1,000 USDT and receiving 10 USDT automatically. The reward is connected to eligible Event Contracts trading volume and campaign conditions.
Gate is also offering a 50,000 USDT volume-sharing pool for users reaching at least 20,000 USDT eligible volume, with an individual reward cap of 500 USDT. This is interesting because ordinary active traders do not necessarily need to compete for the biggest leaderboard position to participate.
Another 100,000 USDT is allocated to the peak trading competition. Rewards are based on eligible trading volume, meaning higher-volume participants compete for a larger share. Users who do not receive rewards through the peak leaderboard may be considered for the separate volume-sharing mechanism according to the campaign rules.
There is also a daily reward structure. Users reaching 500 USDT daily Event Contracts volume can receive 2.5 USDT, while 1,000 USDT daily volume can qualify for 10 USDT. Only one daily tier applies. If the 1,000 USDT level is achieved throughout the eligible campaign period, the published maximum under this mechanism can reach 70 USDT.
Gate has also added a daily check-in opportunity. Users need at least 3 market trades and 20 USDT cumulative daily volume to complete a check-in. Completing check-ins on at least 3 days allows participation in a 10,000 USDT pool, with an individual reward capped at 10 USDT.
For eligible new Event Contracts users, Gate also provides first-trade loss compensation. The first 2,000 eligible users who make their first Event Contracts trade during the campaign and experience a qualifying loss can receive compensation based on the actual loss, capped at 5 USDT per user.
Now comes the most important part: MY MARKET VIEW.
Event Contracts are not simply about guessing UP or DOWN. Gate currently offers Event Contracts on BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, HYPE and BNB, with different timeframes including 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour and 4 hours. Every timeframe requires a different approach.
BTC around the $78K area is especially important because Bitcoin direction can influence the broader crypto market. ETH is around the $2.4K zone, SOL around $100+, BNB around the high-$600s, XRP around $1.3+, DOGE around $0.08 and HYPE around $80 in recent market snapshots. These prices move continuously, so users should check Gate’s live prices before making any decision.
Percentage movement is equally important. A 1% move in BTC around $78,000 represents roughly $780. A 2% move in ETH around $2,400 represents approximately $48. A 3% move in SOL around $102 is about $3.06, while a 3% move in HYPE around $80 is approximately $2.40.
This shows why short-duration Event Contracts can be very sensitive to volatility. A 5-minute contract and a 4-hour contract should never be treated the same way. Before taking a position, I would personally look at current price, percentage change, support, resistance, volume, momentum, BTC direction and overall market sentiment.
MY OPINION
The biggest mistake would be trading simply to chase the 1% reward.
If someone increases position size or starts making unnecessary trades just to generate volume, a single bad market move can easily cost more than the reward being targeted. A 1% campaign incentive cannot protect a trader from a 2%, 3% or 5% adverse market move.
I would rather see users build volume naturally through trades they already planned to take.
Choose a limited number of assets, understand the timeframe, define the maximum amount you are willing to risk and avoid revenge trading after a losing prediction.
For smaller Gate users, the daily 500–1,000 USDT volume structure and the check-in mechanism may be more realistic than trying to compete for the 1,000,000 USDT peak tier. For experienced high-volume traders, the 0.40%–1% volume tiers could be more relevant.
One more important point: users must register through the campaign participation process before trading if they want to qualify. Identity verification and other eligibility requirements apply. Rewards 2, 3 and 4 are also mutually exclusive, so users should not assume that every reward pool will automatically stack together.
The campaign follows UTC-based daily calculations, so timing matters. The official campaign period ends September 2, 2026 at 08:00 UTC+8.
FINAL TAKE
In my view, Gate’s Event Contracts campaign is valuable mainly because it offers multiple ways for different types of users to participate: high-volume traders can target the 1% tier, active traders can work toward the 20K volume requirement, regular users can focus on daily volume rewards, and smaller participants can look at the check-in structure.
But the message should be clear:
DON’T TRADE JUST FOR THE REWARD.
TRADE WITH A PLAN, AND LET THE REWARD BE THE EXTRA BENEFIT.
Check the live market, understand the Event Contract timeframe, calculate your risk and read Gate’s official campaign rules before participating. The 1% headline is attractive, but disciplined execution is far more important than chasing volume.
