⚠️ The Biggest ETH Supply Mistake

A lot of traders look at Ethereum's supply and ask: "Is ETH inflationary or deflationary?"
That's too simplistic.
ETH supply dynamics depend on several moving parts:
ETH issuance → staking → network activity → fee burn
When network activity increases, fee burning can increase. When activity is weaker, the supply dynamics can look very different.
Staking matters too — staked ETH doesn't behave exactly like immediately liquid exchange supply.
That's why a single "ETH supply" number doesn't tell the entire story.
The better question is: how is supply changing relative to demand?
Because even a deflationary asset can fall if demand collapses. And an asset with positive issuance can rise if demand massively exceeds new supply.
Supply matters. But supply + demand matters more.
Save this framework.

Someone has finally explained ETH’s supply and demand dynamics clearly; looking only at inflation and deflation is indeed too superficial.

Saved it—I'll just pull out this framework in the next debate.

Relative changes matter more than absolute figures; this principle applies to analyzing all assets.

So, the rise in the staking ratio is actually a double-edged sword, and the supply side is quite complex.

ETH economics are an order of magnitude more complex than Bitcoin’s, but also more flexible.

Many people are focused on the ultrasound money narrative, but have forgotten the demand side.

issuance + burn + staking = true dynamic balance
