I'm optimistic about the change in the token economy, but cautious after the initial surge.
* Big positive: Directing 95% of net income to ENA buybacks creates a much clearer value accumulation mechanism.
* Reduced supply pressure: The end of the recurring VC unlock program eliminates a significant source of predictable selling pressure.
* Problem: The 95% buyback is tied to USDe/income milestones, so it doesn't immediately guarantee buying pressure. The first threshold is reportedly 7.5 billion USDe in circulation.
* Short term: After a move of more than 20% in a single day, taking profits is a real risk. The current trading activity has already pulled back from the ~$ENA region.
My view: This is one of the most significant fundamental improvements ENA has received. If USDe growth continues and the buyback mechanism truly activates on a large scale, ENA could develop a strong "protocol growth → income → buybacks → low supply" cycle. However, I wouldn't chase a vertical candlestick pattern just because of the headline.
