Gate Event Contracts: 1% Trading Reward Turns Short-Term Predictions Into a Competition
Gate has launched a limited-time Event Contracts trading competition with a 200,000 USDT total reward pool, running from August 26, 2026, 06:00 UTC to September 2, 2026, 00:00 UTC. The campaign is built around four reward tracks, with the headline incentive being a trading-volume reward of up to 1%.

The concept is straightforward: Event Contracts allow traders to take a view on the short-term direction of BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, HYPE or BNB over 5-minute, 15-minute, 1-hour or 4-hour periods. The trader chooses whether the price will move higher or lower, then enters the contract.

The 1% reward is the main attraction

For traders focused on volume, the campaign has a clear progression.

Trading volume between 100,000 and 200,000 USDT qualifies for a 0.40% reward, while higher volume tiers increase the rate to 0.60%, 0.70%, 0.80% and 0.90%.

The top tier is particularly notable:

More than 1,000,000 USDT in qualifying trading volume → 1% reward.

The leaderboard/reward structure has a combined 100,000 USDT pool, while another 50,000 USDT pool is available for eligible users reaching at least 20,000 USDT of cumulative event-contract volume. Individual rewards are subject to the campaign limits and rules.

It is not only for high-volume traders

Gate has also added smaller milestones to make the campaign broader.

Eligible users can earn up to 70 USDT through daily volume targets. Reaching 500 USDT in daily Event Contracts volume provides a 2.5 USDT reward, while 1,000 USDT qualifies for 10 USDT for that day. Only one level can be claimed per day, and users need to meet the required level on at least three days to qualify.

There is also a 10,000 USDT first-trade loss-compensation pool for the first 2,000 eligible users who complete their first Event Contract trade during the campaign and incur a loss, with compensation based on the actual loss and capped at 5 USDT per user.

What makes the campaign interesting?

The reward structure changes the focus from simply getting one prediction right to managing participation over time.

For experienced traders, the volume-based rewards create an additional incentive to remain active. For newer users, the smaller daily milestones provide a lower threshold for participating in the campaign.

But the most important point is that the 1% reward should not be confused with a 1% guaranteed trading profit.

Event Contracts involve short timeframes, and an incorrect directional prediction can result in significant losses. Gate specifically requires first-time users to review the relevant risk disclosure, complete the required quiz and sign the user agreement before trading.

My takeaway

The interesting part of #EventContracts1%Reward is the combination of short-duration market predictions and a tiered reward system.

200,000 USDT total rewards.
Up to 1% at the highest trading-volume tier.
Up to 70 USDT through qualifying daily volume.
Multiple assets and four different contract durations.

For me, the smarter approach is not simply chasing the highest volume tier. The real focus should be understanding the contract mechanics, controlling position size and treating the reward as an incentive rather than a reason to take unnecessary risk.

The campaign rewards activity, but successful participation still starts with risk management and disciplined decisions. @Gate_Square
