#Gate股票观点挑战 Jackson Hole, Interest Rates and the Next Big Move in U.S. Stocks
Tonight's Federal Reserve speech at Jackson Hole is one of the most important events currently facing the U.S. stock market. After a strong technology-led recovery, investors are now waiting for a clear signal from Fed Chair Kevin Warsh about inflation, interest rates and the future direction of monetary policy.
For me, this is a critical moment because the market is already balancing two powerful forces.
On one side, technology and AI stocks have received fresh momentum after NVIDIA's strong earnings. On the other side, Treasury yields remain elevated and investors are still uncertain about how aggressively the Federal Reserve will respond to persistent inflation.
The market is optimistic, but it is also nervous.
That combination can create major opportunities as well as sharp volatility.
The Market Before Jackson Hole
Recent trading has shown renewed strength in U.S. equities. The Nasdaq gained approximately 1.6% in the latest major session, while the S&P 500 rose around 0.7% and the Dow added approximately 0.2%. Technology shares played an important role in the recovery.
NVIDIA was one of the biggest stories after its earnings-driven rally, with shares gaining approximately 8.7% in one session. The result helped revive confidence that AI spending and technology growth remain powerful market catalysts.
For me, this creates an interesting situation.
The AI story is still providing bullish energy.
But interest rates could determine whether that momentum continues or faces another period of pressure.
The Biggest Question: Hawkish or Dovish?
Everything now depends on how the market interprets Warsh's message.
A hawkish tone would suggest that inflation remains a serious concern and that monetary policy may need to remain restrictive. This could push Treasury yields higher and create pressure on high-valuation technology stocks.
A dovish interpretation, on the other hand, could improve risk sentiment if investors believe financial conditions may become less restrictive over time.
The challenge is that Warsh has given limited clear forward guidance, making tonight's speech especially important for markets searching for direction.
My view is simple:
The words matter, but the market reaction matters even more.
Why Treasury Yields Are on My Radar
One of the most important indicators I am watching is the U.S. Treasury market.
Recent reports placed the 30-year Treasury yield around 5.20%, while the 10-year yield was near 4.67%. Elevated yields can create pressure on growth stocks because higher borrowing costs and discount rates affect company valuations.
For me, the first major reaction after the speech will be extremely important.
If yields move lower, technology stocks may receive additional support.
If yields rise sharply, the market could become more defensive.
My attention will move through this chain:
Fed speech → Treasury yields → U.S. dollar → Technology stocks → Broader market
That will tell me more than simply reacting to one headline.
My Bullish Scenario
I would become more optimistic if the speech is interpreted as supportive for future easing or less restrictive financial conditions.
In that scenario, I would expect investors to focus again on growth and technology.
The strongest sectors I would watch include:
AI
Semiconductors
Software
Cloud computing
Cybersecurity
NVIDIA's recent 8.7% rally has already demonstrated that investors remain willing to return aggressively to technology when earnings and guidance provide strong confidence.
If Jackson Hole adds a positive macro signal, the technology rally could receive another important catalyst.
My Bearish Scenario
I also have to respect the possibility of disappointment.
If Warsh strongly emphasises inflation risks without giving markets confidence about future policy flexibility, yields could remain elevated or rise further.
That could create pressure on expensive growth stocks.
In a bearish scenario, I would expect:
Higher market volatility
Profit-taking in technology
Pressure on high-valuation stocks
Greater demand for defensive sectors
This would not automatically mean that the long-term AI trend is finished.
For me, it would simply mean that macroeconomic conditions are temporarily becoming more important than the earnings story.
My Thoughts on Technology Stocks
I remain constructive on the technology sector, especially after the latest earnings momentum.
NVIDIA's powerful post-earnings move has helped restore confidence in the AI investment cycle. At the same time, recent market reports showed particularly strong gains in several software names, demonstrating that market strength is spreading beyond one single company.
That is encouraging.
But I do not believe every technology stock should be chased after a major rally.
My approach is to look for:
Strong earnings
Sustainable revenue growth
Healthy price structure
Clear support levels
Controlled risk
A good company can still become a bad short-term trade if the entry price is too high.
My Trading Approach Tonight
Personally, I would not rush into a large position before the market reveals its interpretation of the speech.
Major Fed events can create sudden moves in both directions.
My approach would be to wait for confirmation.
If stocks rise after the speech, I want to see whether the move holds.
If stocks fall, I want to see whether buyers defend important support areas.
I prefer confirmation over prediction.
The first reaction is not always the final reaction.
Sometimes the market moves aggressively in one direction and then completely reverses after traders have time to analyse the full message.
That is why patience is one of my most important tools.
My Current Focus Areas
For the bullish side, I am watching whether:
Treasury yields stabilise or decline
The technology rally continues
AI stocks maintain momentum
The Nasdaq holds its recovery
Buying spreads across multiple sectors
For the cautious side, I am watching whether:
Yields rise sharply
Inflation concerns dominate the speech
Technology stocks lose momentum
The U.S. dollar strengthens significantly
Selling volume increases
These factors will help me decide whether the market is preparing for continuation or another period of consolidation.
My Opinion
My personal opinion is that the market currently has a positive foundation, mainly because strong technology earnings have restored confidence in growth.
However, Jackson Hole can quickly change the short-term picture.
That is why I am constructive but cautious.
I am not completely bullish without confirmation.
I am also not bearish simply because a major Fed speech is approaching.
I want the market to show its hand.
If technology remains strong and yields do not create new pressure, I believe the bullish momentum can continue.
If yields rise aggressively, I would become more defensive and wait for better opportunities.
What I Would Do After a Positive Reaction
If the market reacts positively and holds its gains, I would focus on quality rather than chasing every stock.
I would look for companies showing:
Strong earnings momentum
AI exposure
Healthy revenue growth
Price strength
Clear technical support
If a stock moves too quickly, I would rather wait for consolidation.
For me, missing the first few percentage points is better than entering a position at the top of an emotional rally.
What I Would Do After a Negative Reaction
If the market reacts negatively, I would not panic.
My first question would be:
Is this a short-term reaction, or is the broader trend actually changing?
I would watch Treasury yields and the Nasdaq carefully.
If selling remains controlled and major support holds, the pullback could create better opportunities.
But if selling expands across multiple sectors while yields continue rising, I would reduce risk and become more patient.
Capital protection is always more important than forcing a trade.
My Market Outlook
My short-term outlook is:
Technology: Constructive
AI sector: Bullish but volatile
Interest-rate outlook: Uncertain
Treasury yields: Critical
Overall market: Waiting for Jackson Hole confirmation
The Nasdaq's recent 1.6% gain and the S&P 500's approximately 0.7% advance show that market confidence has improved, while NVIDIA's 8.7% rally demonstrates that the AI trade still has significant power.
But the next major move may depend on what happens tonight.
My Final Thoughts
Jackson Hole is not simply about one speech.
It is about expectations.
It is about inflation.
It is about interest rates.
And ultimately, it is about whether investors will continue paying higher prices for growth and technology stocks.
My current approach is to remain confident but disciplined.
A dovish market interpretation could provide another boost to technology and AI stocks.
A hawkish surprise could bring higher volatility and profit-taking.
For me, the smartest move is to watch the reaction rather than become emotional before the outcome is clear.
The AI story remains powerful.
Technology earnings remain an important bullish force.
But interest rates still have the ability to change the entire market conversation.
Tonight, I will be watching one question more closely than anything else:
Will the Fed give technology stocks more room to rally, or will higher-for-longer rate concerns bring the market back to reality?
The answer could shape the next major move in U.S. equities.
