#HYPEContinuesToHitAll-TimeHighs
$HYPE
🔥 HYPE Continues to Hit All-Time Highs But Can $83 Hold?
Hyperliquid’s HYPE has entered a decisive price-discovery phase. With the market recently pushing into the $83 area and the latest session showing another strong advance, the key question is no longer whether HYPE can make a new high it is whether buyers can turn the previous $82–$83 region into a sustainable support zone. Recent market data shows HYPE reaching above $86 intraday on August 27, while the user-level price around $83 keeps the token close to its record territory.
The structure remains strongly bullish. From around $55 at the beginning of August to the low-$80s now, HYPE has delivered a major expansion in less than a month. The important technical feature is that pullbacks have repeatedly attracted buyers rather than developing into a deeper trend reversal. The immediate resistance is the recent high around $86, followed by the psychological $90 level. A convincing breakout above $86 with sustained volume could put $90 and potentially $95 into focus.
But this is also where risk management becomes more important. HYPE is trading far above its earlier August levels, meaning momentum is strong but the distance between price and meaningful support has increased. The first zone I would watch is $80–$82. Holding this area after a breakout would strengthen the idea that the old resistance is becoming support. A move below $80 could bring $76–$78 back into focus, while a deeper breakdown below $72 would materially weaken the current short-term structure.
There is another major factor the market cannot ignore: supply. A scheduled unlock of about 14.18 million HYPE tokens is set for August 29, representing roughly 1.4% of total supply and around 2.7% of market capitalization at the prices reported when the unlock was announced. Nearly 47% of that release is allocated to insiders. This does not automatically mean selling pressure will appear, but it creates an important liquidity test directly after an aggressive rally.
The fundamental side is equally important. Hyperliquid’s trading ecosystem has continued attracting substantial activity, and the token’s rally has occurred alongside growing attention toward the platform’s derivatives and on-chain market infrastructure. Earlier data showed significant perpetual trading volume and open interest, reinforcing the idea that HYPE is being valued not only as a token but also around the activity and economics of its underlying ecosystem.
My current framework is simple: above $82, bulls retain control; above $86, the next breakout confirmation becomes much stronger; and $90 is the next psychological test. On the other hand, losing $80 would warn that momentum is cooling, while $76–$78 becomes the next important demand area.
The interesting part of this rally is that HYPE is approaching a major supply event while simultaneously trading near record highs. If buyers absorb the unlock without losing the $80–$82 zone, that would be a powerful sign of underlying demand. If price rejects sharply and volume expands on the downside, the market may need a period of consolidation before attempting another breakout.
For me, the real test is not simply whether HYPE can print another all-time high. It is whether the market can defend the breakout after the supply event. Price discovery is exciting, but confirmation above previous highs is what turns momentum into a stronger technical structure.
