🔥 $NVDA PRICE ACTION AFTER EARNINGS BULLS OR A TRAP?

Nvidia delivered another powerful earnings report, with quarterly revenue up 106% YoY.

The fundamental story remains extremely strong, but after a major earnings catalyst, I’m more interested in what the chart is telling us now.

Because when expectations are this high, strong earnings alone are not enough.

Price needs to confirm the strength.

THE CURRENT SETUP

$NVDA remains one of the strongest names in the AI trade, and the post-earnings reaction will determine whether this move develops into another continuation leg or turns into a short-term profit-taking event.

My focus is on the relationship between:

Price + Volume + Momentum + Support/Resistance

If buyers can maintain elevated volume while defending the post-earnings breakout area, that would suggest institutions are still willing to accumulate at higher prices.

That would be a strong signal for continuation.

But if the initial spike starts losing momentum and volume fades, I would expect some traders to lock in profits.

BULLISH SCENARIO

The setup becomes particularly interesting if $NVDA:

→ Holds above the post-earnings breakout
→ Builds a higher low
→ Reclaims the session high
→ Expands with strong volume

That combination would indicate that the market is accepting the higher valuation rather than simply reacting emotionally to the earnings headline.

A confirmed breakout could bring the next psychological resistance zones into focus.

I would rather enter after confirmation than chase the first vertical candle.

PULLBACK SCENARIO

A pullback wouldn't automatically make me bearish.

In fact, a controlled retracement could create a healthier setup.

If $NVDA pulls back toward previous resistance and successfully turns that area into support, the old resistance becomes a potential new demand zone.

That would give bulls a much cleaner risk/reward setup.

The ideal structure would be:

Breakout → Retest → Higher Low → Continuation

That's the structure I want to see.

BEARISH WARNING

The biggest warning would be a failed breakout.

If Nvidia initially rallies after earnings but quickly loses the breakout level, followed by heavy selling volume, that would suggest the market may be using the earnings event to distribute rather than accumulate.

I would then watch for a deeper retracement toward the next major support zone.

No matter how strong the fundamentals are, I don't want to fight a bearish chart.

WHAT I'M WATCHING

For the next sessions, these are the signals that matter most:

1. Post-earnings high

A clean break and close above it would strengthen the bullish continuation thesis.

2. Breakout support

If previous resistance becomes support, that's one of the strongest confirmations bulls can get.

3. Volume

A breakout without meaningful volume deserves caution.

4. Momentum

Strong momentum is positive, but an extremely stretched RSI combined with declining volume can signal short-term exhaustion.

5. Broader semiconductor sentiment

$NVDA doesn't trade in isolation.

Strength across AI and semiconductor stocks would support continuation, while weakness across the sector could amplify any Nvidia pullback.

MY OUTLOOK

My medium-term bias remains bullish, but I don't think this is the time to blindly chase $NVDA simply because earnings were strong.

The market already knows Nvidia is an AI leader.

What matters now is whether buyers continue paying higher prices after the initial earnings excitement fades.

If they do, the trend can continue.

If they don't, we could see a healthy reset before the next move.

My preferred setup is therefore:

Wait for confirmation → identify the new support zone → enter on a successful retest → scale out into strength → trail the remaining position.

The AI narrative remains powerful.

But the chart still decides the trade.

Bullish continuation above the confirmed breakout.
Cautious on rejection.
Bearish only if major support breaks with strong selling pressure.

For $NVDA, the earnings report started the next chapter.

Now the price action has to write it.
