MRVL is heading into earnings with the AI chip narrative still very much alive. Google’s partnership talk has kept the name in focus and the question hanging over the tape is simple: can the numbers and guidance clear the high bar, or has most of the good news already been absorbed.
On the 4-hour chart price is currently at 245.11 after a 1.49 percent advance. The 50-period EMA sits lower at 224.34 and the 200-period EMA is further down at 201.71. Bollinger Bands run from 213.03 on the downside to 252.67 on the upside, with the middle band near 232.85. Price is trading in the upper half of the band and pressing toward the SRL resistance at 252.67. That level lines up with a previous rejection zone. Higher up the old swing high near 329.79 remains a distant reference, while the nearer support cluster sits at 232.85 then 224.34 and 213.03.
RSI is at 60.01, elevated enough to show momentum but not yet in overbought territory. MACD remains positive with the signal lines still pointing higher, though the histogram has moderated after the recent push.
The bullish case needs a clean break and hold above 252.67 on the back of solid results and constructive guidance. Acceptance there would open room toward the next measured extension and keep the broader AI-chip uptrend intact. In that scenario the 232.85–224.34 zone becomes the first area to defend on any post-earnings pullback. Continued strength in related semiconductor names would reinforce the move.
The bearish case is the classic “buy the rumor, sell the news” setup. A failure to clear 252.67, especially if the print or outlook disappoints, would likely send price back toward the middle Bollinger Band at 232.85. A break of that level would bring the 50-period EMA at 224.34 into focus and potentially the lower band near 213.03. After a multi-month advance, any sign that expectations were already fully priced would invite profit-taking.
I am treating 252.67 as the immediate decision level and 232.85 as the short-term trend filter. Until the numbers land, size stays measured. The partnership noise is supportive, but the chart still has to confirm whether buyers are willing to pay up through resistance once the actual results are known.
How are you framing the event? Adding on a break of 252.67, waiting for a retest of the 232–224 zone, or already reducing exposure? Share your levels.
