W3C, which sets internet standards worldwide, officially published the technical specification "DID Resolution (Decentralized Identity Resolution) v1.0" as a Candidate Recommendation and set the public feedback deadline for 3 September 2026.

So, What Is DID Resolution?
Decentralized identities (DIDs) give users the right to create their own digital identities without asking anyone. DID Resolution is the "global universal phone book standard" that determines how these unique strings of cryptographic identities can be queried by banks, government systems, or Web3 applications anywhere in the world, as well as how to convert them into their owners' public keys.

Pi Network completed this integration process long ago, in fact from the foundation to the peak, building itself closely around these standards.
